  1. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Feb 3, 2010 -> 01:21 PM) Ah the good ol facebook. I deactivated my account recently and I dont miss it at all, really feels like a load on my face. As long as you're comfortable with your decision.
  2. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 3, 2010 -> 06:21 PM) 2 divisions of 7, most teams dont play if they arent in the same division. Do all Big 12 teams play each other in football? No. Play all in division and a rotation of 3 from the other. ISU, in the fall, plays all 5 North teams plus Oklahoma, Texas and Texas Tech. After a couple of years, those 3 are traded out for Baylor, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.
  3. QUOTE (zenryan @ Feb 3, 2010 -> 09:12 AM) The Orlando Sentinel said yesterday that Johnson would be signing 2 LOI's today. One to ISU and the other to some JUCO school that is basically a feeder school to Iowa St in case he doesnt qualify academically. Appears he is all yours. Congrats. Nah, that was his teammate. Shontrelle is a Cyclone though! Just lost one guy, to Tech.
  4. I remember when this thread used to be created when the first poll came out. Anyways, hoping ISU can steal Joel Bonomolo from Auburn tomorrow, keep Kenneth Kirksey away from Rutgers and keep Shontrelle Johnson from Florida State.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 28, 2010 -> 03:44 PM) The blackout rules do suck, but I guess I can kind of understand not getting Sox/Cubs games if you live IN Chicago. But according to the website if you live in Des Moines, Iowa, you dont get games for the Twins, White Sox, Cardinals, Royals, Cubs, and Brewers. You live over 200/300 miles away from the nearest team, but on any given day 6 of the 15 games could be blacked out for you. What the hell? It sucks
  6. Ha sweet, Jim Sorgi gets a name drop on the Daily Show.
  7. Ha, and ISU cuts it to 3 with 90 seconds left in a building they haven't won in since 96. But some dumb basketball in the last 30 seconds will cost them a shot.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 27, 2010 -> 09:30 PM) Once the refs couldnt call 2 bulls*** fouls on Turner to keep him out of the game they were done. Lick's offensive sets are nice, however his talent level is not good. I'm pretty sure Google or whatever his name is was taken from the front door of a bar earlier tonight. Cougill is a load of mush.
  9. And Iowa loses and ISU has cut a 21 point lead to 7 with 8 minutes left. Freaky.
  10. Christ, Iowa blew that quick. Either way, I'd like to see what Lick could do with actual talent. I'll still trade you for him, Jas.
  11. Wow, Iowa might win more games than Iowa State the rest of this year. A crappy Oklahoma team without Warren or Crocker hung 50 on ISU in the first half. It's kind of fulfilling to know that my vibe about McDermott from the beginning was correct (never lost fewer than 10 games a year at the D1 level, never had a great conference record), but its painful seeing us waste two NBA picks in Gilstrap and Brackins. Watching Wesley Johnson doesn't help either.
  12. The Twins don't plan to give Jim a ton of at bats as of now. Honestly, I see it as Matt Thornton's job to get him out late in a game.
  13. I got a good feeling about our new #23.
  14. 1 Juan Pierre 7 Mark Kotsay 17 Omar Vizquel 23 Mark Teahen 25 Andruw Jones 30 Alejandro De Aza 40 JJ Putz 43 Sergio Santos 53 Freddy Dolsi 61 Brandon Hynick 63 Stefan Gartrell I'm sure there's others I missed.

  16. That argument is proof positive that Iowa State had a better football team than Nebraska this year, winning in Lincoln and all with their backup quarterback and runningback starting.
  17. Today was the worst winter weather I've driven through.
  18. God, I wish we could just trade for Adam Dunn.
  19. KU looked damn strong. On the bright side, it was nice seeing Marquis Gilstrap just absolutely posterize Cole Aldrich.
  20. Let's f***ing beat Kansas. It's been too damn long.
  21. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 21, 2010 -> 08:00 PM) IU picks up its first Big 10 win on the road in two seasons. Even if it was a winless-in-the-conference Penn State, IU looked decent, and is sitting at 3-3 in the Big Ten. I am pleasantly surprised, especially considering this has all happened without Maurice Creek. I freakin' love Tom Crean. You guys got a hell of a coach in him.

QUOTE (Tex @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 06:55 PM) what subject? What grade? Freshman geography.
