And that's a high octane WHITE SOX WINNER
Japanese broadcast sounds good. Shows Mune’s first bomb and also Colson’s LTP… https://x.com/SPOTVNOW_JP/status/2055800027034108052/video/1?s=46

Dream away….Ishbia $$$$$, who would you extend and for how much after Mune
I’d rather the focus be on signing an impact starting pitcher, elite bat, and a couple bullpen badasses first before we focus on extensions.

Thanks for the reminder why you’re on The Hall of Fame List. I’ll avoid going out of my way to see your content.

Exactly. Will has set things up this way before and will soon enough get that Mune is in no way a two hole hitter. The only argument for it is getting him about two dozen more at bats on a season but the negative side far outweighs it. Rikuu Nishida would be perfect to have at the top of the order. Pair him with Sam and that is a near perfect 1 - 2 punch… if Rikuu’s skills will play at the MLB level. Can’t wait for them to try him out and hope it doesn’t take too long. I could see it being a while before he gets a look.

Wish that they had a better two hole hitter than Mune ( he’s in AAA but is blocked by dead weight ). Mune strikes out too much to be second in a lineup for my taste. Speaking of which, I also wish that instead of Benny that someone like Hill was starting as the DH.

I have a disgustring and insatiable hatred for this team's inaction after acquiring Mune and sticking with Benintendi
I sure as hell hope we don’t get stuck with him through the end of 2027… let alone this year.

I asked some LLMs the following: “If you had to make the decision for the Chicago white sox in their draft room selecting a player in the first round of the upcoming mlb draft, who would you select? Support your conclusion and name the top three other choices that you passed on.” Here are their responses: Grok Gemini Perplexity ChatGPT Since they’re pulling from the same sources, it’s not surprising they all came to the same conclusion. I asked each of them a follow up requesting speculation regarding Roch’s debut timeline and it was equally split: Two saying in the second half of 27 and the other two saying start of 28.

Yea, I’ll be shocked if they pass on him for Emerson and will be very interested to see them disclose their logic in that seemingly rare case.

Teel suffers LCL sprain (Pg. 5), out 3-6 weeks
Hopefully he will join them in SF where I’ll be for two games… and hopefully we take the Flubs down regardless.

Teel suffers LCL sprain (Pg. 5), out 3-6 weeks
Getz didn’t imply that Kyle was far off during the Anaheim trip so far as I know and it is comical that a couple of folks discounted him being placed on a rehab ticket after I saw him raking in the cages. Shocking… Soxtalk posters can be wrong and arrogant ( you and I included. )

It’s hysterical reading recent posts in this thread after I had shared a report from Anaheim where my observation of him looking near a rehab assignment and return were met with sentiment like, “His timing will be off” and “Teel won’t be up for a long time still.” 😆

Trouble in Paradise: Too many lefties
I could absolutely see us targeting a RH DH, a starting pitcher, and a reliever at the deadline with moves that won’t sacrifice our prominent prospect pool. While that is true, I just wanted to construct a sentence with such a masterful example of consonance: “Prominent prospect pool.”

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
This has been the camp I’ve landed in for the past few months and for me the concerns with Emerson playing against poor competition give enough pause to play it safe… UNLESS: Evaluations believe with a minuscule margin of error that he would be preforming against elite talent That his floor is safe and his rise will not take longer than two years

What are the chances that Grady Emerson has a Bobby Witt Jr-esque timeline and ceiling? If that is a possibility and he could be up after one and a half years of pro ball to start 2028, then I’m willing to dream on that and get off the Roch train. The main complaint I have heard on Emerson is that he has been playing against extremely weak competition in his particular high school circuit because he wanted to play for a specific coach… but if there are trusted evaluators who think it is more possible than not that he can meet the above timeline and has a ceiling to dream on, he may be worth taking above Roch. * I’m not sold on it and am just spitballing here. * I haven’t studied the holes in his game nearly as much as I have Roch. * I have yet to investigate Emerson’s projected floor. Just thought it would be a good angle for us to discuss and ponder as we march closer to draft day.
