Rays discussing Joey Wendle in trades… any interest for second base? Good D… 3.8 fWAR… Most games played in his career at second. Left handed. 14 drs average per 162 at that position. Almost a .800 OPS vs RHP last year. Not enough pop?

“Sign or acquire a great DH and a great right fielder, put Andrew Vaughn there at second base. I’m serious.” - Chuck Garfien on the latest White Sox Talk podcast ?

Quack.

Yuppers.

Quack quack.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…

Under.

Hallelujah!!!!

Yea... coin toss between him and Gausman for me. Edge to Ray here as well.

If you had your pick at any single free agent who signed below 120 million... which one would you have picked?

Maybe they’ll end up trading Kimbrel for a solid middle of the pack bullpen piece from a team looking for a closer.

Wow. They made it a whole 30 minutes. Edit: Spoiler - The content was more contextual than the clickbait headline… ”Now, with the meeting ending after just 30 minutes Tuesday, the owners reconvened to determine their next steps and whether they will make an immediate counteroffer. The two sides are expected to meet again before Wednesday night but nothing has yet been scheduled with time running out before baseball’s first work stoppage since 1994-1995.”

Yea no clue - I think that ship sailed.

I wanted Yan Gomes just so Yasmani Grandal could have his twin on the same team. Look it up - dudes look exactly the same. Edit - Here ya go:

True… but first half Gio was trash. What if he takes another step forward? What if Kopech and Cease both take steps forward? What if Dallas makes himself useful again? We have a lot to dream on but should hedge our bets.

Good call. I think Cesar left a horrid taste in our mouth but given another chance he’d do better. Not a stretch to make either of those claims. ?

Ummmm… no.

He hath spoken!!!

Yep. I do think they’ll make a trade for the rotation. This has been my ideal with my Hail Mary being Gausman. Think this is entirely realistic with the biggest question mark being Segura. With all the smoke and nothing to show that ship may be in the graveyard.

Yes.
