  • This offseason is a complete failure. I'm done with this team. Fuck everybody.

  • Anyone who is refusing to be vaccinated is an idiot. Being 100% vaxxed as a team is a competitive advantage.

  • Alright, so lets add up the total in 2022 owed to Hendricks, Kimbrel and Graveman real quick....

whoa. Is there a reason he was so good in 2021 vs being so bad the rest of his career?  Any underlying changes?  If not, this scares me as I'd rather get Tepera for 2/14 or something.

Get good value for Kimbrel and we’re in business. That’s a very solid deal for Graveman

bahahahahahahaha

I think that's a good deal, I do, it's just hilarious nonetheless. $38 million currently tied into 3 relievers. I think we can buy the Guardians roster with that.

Wonder if Kimbrel deal is imminent now

I had the same thought.

Kimbrel is going to be traded. Just a matter of when.

Good move, means Kimbrel is long gone

Graveman is sorta like a right handed bummer right? Lots of GBs?

Can anyone shed light on this great question this poster asked?

I am not familiar enough with Graveman to comment but seems like a lot of years and guaranteed money for someone who has had 1 good (okay amazing) year out of the pen in his entire career.  It is puzzling how much money is tied up to the pen at this point.

One of the failed starters who clicked as a reliever.

This is where I am at.

Pretty sure he has a super sinker and a great clubhouse guy

I wonder if this is actually a Tepera replacement.

Probably.

Maybe they just plan on replacing Kimbrel with Tepera and Graveman - so 2 set-up type guys for price of one closer who sucks as a set-up man?  Still TONS of money to the bullpen.  I will say I like fact that he is a groundball pitcher. He wasn't great in his stint with Houston (when he moved out of the cavernous safeco park).

It’s your righty set up man....this should assure everyone that Kimbrel is long gone

Was not expecting a deal for Graveman, but I like it.  Solidifies the pen and all but guarantees Kimbrel is gone.  I wouldn't be surprised if he's traded within the next couple days.

I think we'd be hard pressed to sign two relievers at ~8 mil this offseason.

Apparently he found out in 2020 he had a tumor in his spine which was the reason for his switch to a relief role. Less stress on his back.

Sox signing relievers who beat them in the playoffs.

Name a more iconic duo.
