Who will be the first player traded?
QUOTE (FT35 @ Jul 5, 2017 -> 01:34 PM) I think Frazier will be dangled but there will be no takers--Teams in search of a 3B will go hard after Josh Donaldson till the deadline hits. If Donaldson doesn't get moved, someone will claim Todd off waivers but no deal will be reached. Soxtalk will be forced to somehow make sense of this. If this happened and someone claimed him on waivers but we couldn't "reach a deal" -- we'd still cut ties with him and the claiming team would take on his remaining salary obligations. It's very likely Todd is gone.

QUOTE (miracleon35th @ Jul 4, 2017 -> 03:35 PM) MLB trade rumors reports that Cubs may be interested in Verlander . That could start narrowing the field for starting pitchers. Just under 4 weeks left to see if anyone wants to play the "pay up" game.

QUOTE (PolishPrince34 @ Jul 4, 2017 -> 08:33 AM) Fernando Tatis Jr. tearing it up as an 18 year in Low A ball. This trade might go down as the worst in White Sox history. 274/.362/.462 12 hrs/14 Sb WRC-131 Since April 21 .300/.391/.511 WRC-152 Scouts are raving about his elite skills and saw one person make a comp to Manny Machado. I know he was 17 years old at the time, but makes me scratch my head to why they included him in the Shields deal. What a mistake!!!!! I hated the deal then and I hate it now. Sad panda. But buck up everyone!!! James Shields is starting for us today!!!! Hip hip horay!!!

QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 03:25 PM) His command wasn't there. Can't throw that many balls and expect to go deep into a game regardless of what your guys are doing behind you. Jose doesn't have the stuff to have an exact 2:1 s/b ratio. He needs to be more in the 65% strike ratio. Would I classify it as not bad? Sure, but I wouldn't call anything besides the 1st 2 innings as positive. Not that it's a big deal or anything...obviously that start was far from horrible and sure isnt going to deter teams or anything. Just saying that it would have been nice to see Q keep the moment going and he just didn't have his usual great location today. He was also getting squeezed and 4 errors is a big deal plus two questionable calls. Most days that's a quality start or better. Scouts I'm sure saw it.

QUOTE (BamaDoc @ Jun 29, 2017 -> 12:42 PM) Let me preface this with I am not a scout. Here are some observations. The Yankees need an outfielder and called up a 22 year old from AAA. This outfielder has caused another highly rated prospect to be moved from center field to a corner outfield position so I am taking this to be they think the centerfielder is a better defender. The batting line for the corner outfielder is .257 .344 .478 .822. He has 12 HRs and 9 SB. 10% walk rate and 22% k rate. The line for the centerfielder is .293 .329 .542 .871. 13 HRs 13 SB. Walk rate 5% K rate 21%. Obviously this if Frazier vs Fowler. I think they may be a lot closer as prospects than people may think. Only current advantage to me is his walk rate. I looked back over previous years and Fowler's is always pretty low. Fowler is given credit for hard work on his defense and Frazier has had attitude questions. Fowler hits Lefty vs Frazier Right. I think either is a fine prospect and could be in play in a Q trade. It may be interesting when the guru's midseason ratings come out to see if the gap is narrowed. Both fit many peoples suggestions of higher level positional talent. Good stuff Bama ????

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 28, 2017 -> 02:23 PM) Who's to say they aren't trying to trade for him now (or at least talk to the Sox)? From what Hahn said the other day, it sounds like they've started talking to teams. You and shack are basically saying the same thing.

Andujar got called up today. Doubt he's in the lineup tonight but he's one name we've pined for in trade talks.
