  1. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Jun 10, 2017 -> 12:57 PM) http://www.baseballamerica.com/high-school...RGfvA0gtKOPt.97 Grey is absolutely someone I'd consider with a high pick in 2018. The draft next year as a whole seems far better than this years crop and we're in prime position to take advantage. #TheTankIsOn
  2. The guy molested a family member for two years who was 4 years old when it started and 6 years old when it ended. He "touched her on the inside and outside of where she pees." according to the victim at the time she was 6 years old. He was 15 when it started and 17 when it ended. I don't care if he's the next Randy Johnson... I wouldn't let him on my team for minimum wage. Sex offenders like that are in a class unto themselves when it comes to crime. He can have his second chance in another walk of life but I sure as s*** hope his privlage to play baseball is over.
  3. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 06:32 PM) Announcing their super regional game? Ah, thanks
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 06:07 PM) Benetti doing Vandy super reg ?
  5. Why can't the draft be today, damnit.
  6. Sporting News has us going with Beck in their latest mock: http://www.sportingnews.com/mlb/news/mlb-d...ih1u4kb1f9gz0yt
  7. QUOTE (Lillian @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 10:21 AM) My preference is for a potentially big run producer, ideally from the left side, regardless of the position they play... Reading this I thought of Pavin before reading the rest of your post. I just hope they take the best available bat regardless of position or age. At this point my board goes: Haseley Smith Beck Burger Kendall Adell
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 08:14 PM) https://www.yahoo.com/sports/top-ranked-col...-235801741.html Top Oregon State pitcher outed as convicted sex offender from when he was just 15. Wow... molested a girl for two years when she was between the ages of 4 and 6. I'm all for second chances but I also see sex offenders in a very low way. Hope he has a good life helping people and staying on the right path... also hope he never plays in the majors.
  9. My preference is Haseley, Beck, Kendall
  10. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 01:33 PM) Great lower body action but IMO he could stand to clean up that cocking mechanism somewhat. Good looking athlete. His hands seem to have quieted down depending on what video source you're looking at... this one shows him more consistently stable:
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 7, 2017 -> 07:16 PM) 1. Philly (-14) 2. SD 0.5 GB 3. SF 1.0 GB 4. Miami 3 GB 5. Atlanta 3 GB 6. NYM 3.5 GB CHW 3.5 GB OAK 3.5 GB PITT 3.5 GB 10. KCR 4.0 GB 11. STL 4.5 GB TEX 4.5 GB Starting to show how critical each loss is.
  12. Bring him up now - he's perfect for what we're trying to do
  13. Yea, night was the nail in the trade him this year coffin.
  14. Rabbit(mania) because, words words words words words words words words... poop.
  15. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ May 26, 2017 -> 04:09 PM) https://mobile.twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/...227078843490304 Callis slotting Robert in at #27 overall. Now have 7 players in the top 100 per pipeline, second only to Atlanta's 8. Should add a few more by July too between the draft and trades. As we all hope
  16. Quintana is proving this year that you can't win in speculating baseball... ever.
  17. He's a jackass. Listen to the CSN Chicago podcast that went up today around the 8:30 mark. He was asked if the scouts who Law had talked with any scouts of teams who had interest in Robert. "NO no no no - stop stop stop stop. I'm not even entertaining that question, that's insulting. No, it's really insulting. I've been doing this a really long time, I've been dealing with scouts a really long time... these are people I know well and I also understand... uh... I know exactly what you where going to say and I think it's ridiculous." Comes off as a completely arrogant pompous egotistical jerk.
  18. Well, that's not on Nightengale. He's just reporting what fell apart due to Washingtons $ issues at the ownership level.
  19. QUOTE (Wanne @ May 22, 2017 -> 08:41 PM) lol...ok Nightengale. What about it is funny to you?
  20. QUOTE (bmags @ May 22, 2017 -> 02:39 PM) I just want to reiterate the need we get more production out of INTL scouting. Washington signed Robles for 225k. Atlanta signed Albies for 350k. Signed Acuna for 100k. NWe are prepared to send out a 1st round pick for players we could have identified ourselves. These aren't the crazy bonuses of players or even million dollar signings like Torres and Juan Soto. Drives me nuts how almost all of our trade targets were largely bargain J2 signings. +1101011011
  21. QUOTE (Sockin @ May 22, 2017 -> 02:29 PM) FWIW Law was just on ESPN and said he hasn't seen him in person but the scouts he's talked to that has have given him mixed reviews. He said every scout said he can run and the power is there but no one is sure he's going to be able to hit. He said is he were in this year's draft he'd be picked in the teens. Anywhere between top teen 2017 draft pick to immediate top 25 - 30 prospect in baseball to best non-MLB player on the planet. We've also read that he may have some issues with laying off the high heat and breaking stuff. Sounds like most young guys to me. I'll take what Law said as cautiously as what Callis said.
  22. He's also a bunny rabbit right now on instagram.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ May 21, 2017 -> 07:30 PM) Don't even think the pic he used is Robert. First thing I noticed as well
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 21, 2017 -> 06:57 PM) Also known as "contrarians for clicks". alliteration and consonance for the win
