QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 05:47 PM) I haven't seen anything else anywhere. That would be funny if that's how it broke. Way to go scoreboard guy, way to go. I hacked the scoreboard -

QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 05:32 PM) His numbers from the first half of last year to the first half of this year were strikingly similar. 2015 to ASB GS 17 IP 119 R / ER 39 / 36 SO 157 ERA 2.72 FIP 2.27 2016 to ASB GS 18 IP 125 R / ER 49 / 47 SO 123 ERA 3.38 FIP 3.71 Very similar in innings pitched - which has been the proported reason for the change in approach. The other numbers are all headed in the wrong direction. If the new approach actually is projecting to assist in his long term health, it's worth it. If the goal is just soley to get him deeper into games, go back to the old methods. -

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 05:30 PM) Yup. This whole "strikeouts are actually bad because they don't let you go deep into games" thing he's got going on this year is absolute horses***, and Rick Hahn or somebody needs to explain this in detail to him and Don Cooper. Unfortunately he got really lucky pitching to contact early in the year and that's probably cemented the idea in their heads. His numbers from the first half of last year to the first half of this year were strikingly similar. -
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 03:56 PM) You are correct. My question is what time on that day? Like 4pm central? 3pm central

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 05:20 PM) 9 pitches to Dexter Fowler, no changeups. How can nobody from the Sox organisation not be pinning him down saying "throw your best pitch you idiot"? His change up is his best pitch? -

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 03:30 PM) Well then only one game pitched since all star game. Better be a no hitter or perfect game tonight Would be about time. Seriously, is this Sale guy even good? What gives: Chris?? -
QUOTE (Sleepy Harold @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 02:55 PM) LINK Ventura on #WhiteSox being sellers before Monday's deadline: "I don't think that's going to happen." ~ Scot Gregor's twitter I hope they sell you, Robin. Edit: Thanks for being a stand up guy for decades, for meeting with me as a kid multiple times in LA, and for trying. That said - the times come and is overdue.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 02:44 PM) When you couple it with his underwhelming minor league season, I think it's fair to say he should be back in the minors starting, if that's the long term plan. For me it's just not in his poor past two outings - it's the disparity between those appearances and his first couple. He looked great and was popping some nice stuff in his debut. Last night he looked aweful with fastballs ranging 89 - 91. That's a big concern for me and I'd like an explaination as to why his velocity is so down.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 12:13 PM) Chances are after the dust settles on the trade deadline, Ranaudo will be back soon after. But Fulmer needs more minor league time too. He shouldn't be here anymore. +2

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 08:12 PM) Exactly. This entire thread is beating a dead horse lol It's gotten to that point and will stay there until Sunday, IMO. Minor blip due tomorrow around 9:00pm.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 07:40 PM) I know people had doubts about his delivery and maintaining his velocity on shorter than 6 days rest. Sucks that Boston took Benintendi Hopefully we'll end up with both of em. -

QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 07:37 PM) Well he's looking like s*** right now Yup. Games already over. If he had gotten the out last inning and it was still 1-1... Then you start the inning with Duke. I saw Fulmer's debut and he looked good. Was throwing 93 - 94. Seems like he's lost a lot the last two outings. Wonder if Coopers been messing with his velocity trying to get more movement or something. -

QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 07:28 PM) Yes I am watching the game. He was at 100 pitches. And he gave up 1 hit in almost 7 innings. Your alternative is Albers with a runner on first. Seriously? 1.) it's not about pitch count alone. You've got a rookie up who's in his first game with our team after giving up like 900 runs during his last outing against MLB hitters. 2.) he's already thrown a 1 hitter and has a home run. Take him out on a high note. 3.) his pitches were flat the whole inning, he was losing control, he physically looked exhausted. 4.) I would have put in Fulmer. Since the break I would have been using Fulmer a heck of a lot more than he's been used thus far. -
