New Ballpark Name
QUOTE (captain54 @ Aug 26, 2016 -> 12:58 PM) You have a person of authority on your board that apparently thinks it's cool to call out loyal/die hard fans, who express any sort of skepticism toward the current ownership.. then gets incredulous and goes into attack mode when confronted with this blatant and insulting display of disrespect This is a great board.. I learn a ton from many knowledgeable, savvy fans… I don't know southsider2K5 from adam… Possible a face to face meeting could result from a handshake and a sharing of a beer and some Sox chat…who knows? I have White Sox coursing thru my veins… I'm still in possession of my little league glove signed at old Comiskey, by little Nellie Fox from 1960..I still haven't recovered from the Tito Landrum shot in the 10 inning of Game 4 of the ALCS in 83 Nobodies gonna tell me that I can't be critical of the ownership.. I've earned that right… And I don't need anyone to tell me how to be a proper fan.. So what does your continued engagement with him provide for you?

QUOTE (shipps @ Aug 26, 2016 -> 12:34 PM) hi8is the voice of reason? LOL Throwing me off here brother. Just posing the question in an attempt to uncover potentially subconscious value systems who may be futile. I have my psychology hat on today, apparently.

I hope GR loses business due to this deal. "Oh... That's the company who has naming rights to the White Sox. What an awful name for a baseball field. I'll take my business elsewhere."

It's that time of year again...2016 edition
QUOTE (miracleon35th @ Aug 21, 2016 -> 07:41 PM) I think talent evaluation is as important and sometimes even more important than Draft position. We have had some first round dogs, and I hate to call Fulmer one, but he might become another bust. You go into full tank mode to get a player like that? For the 15 billionth time - The jury is very much still out on Fulmer. Absolutely NO reason to give up on him yet.

Dave Kaplan reports Kenny Williams holding back Rick Hahn
QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Aug 17, 2016 -> 05:47 PM) Thank god for Reinsdorf's comforting confirmation that they are all 100% on the same page. Would hate to see anything interfere with the winning formula they've exhibited for over a decade and a half now.

Coats must have had another collision. This time I assume he ran into a wall in Robins office or something.

8/16 White Sox at Indians
QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 16, 2016 -> 10:26 PM) Where would that fall in normal distribution? Let's put it this way... Even if we won ALL of those games in an alternate reality... We STILL wouldn't have the best record in baseball. You give that honor to a TON of other teams and they'd have the best record by a long shot.

All that has happened this year has honestly been the ugliest White Sox season I've ever seen as a fan. Changes. Must. Be. Made. It's BEYOND insane.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 14, 2016 -> 01:29 PM) It's not the call that annoys me, it's the lack of consistency. Either enforce the rule at all times or don't enforce it. They changed the rule to allow for catching the ball to lead the catcher into the base bath. They've been consistent with that now.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 14, 2016 -> 01:23 PM) He didn't need to read anything. 2 outs so any hesitation would just be plain stupid baseball that little leaguers should execute properly. Yea. Carlos certainly should have made it a much closer play and it's on him. I think if he had a better lead, better secondary lead, and more aggressive off the bat movement - that it still would have been a close play. Considering Mathis didn't have the ball to well secured, if Carlos does the above -- the ball either hits him or gets knocked lose on the play.
-
August 14th Game Thread: ChiSox @Miami Marlins
No one is holding him on and he's like two full strides from the bag as the pitch is being delivered. He's also leaning TOWARDS second base still. Fail.
-
August 14th Game Thread: ChiSox @Miami Marlins
Alright. Watched the replay... 1.) Sanchez had a PATHETIC lead off second when the ball was hit. 2.) He didn't get an aggressive secondary lead and held up a bit on the hit, unsure if it would drop or not. 3.) It was fielded shallow and was an aggressive move to send him home 4.) If Carlos had a more aggressive lead, secondary lead, and flawless read off the bat - he would have scored.
-
August 14th Game Thread: ChiSox @Miami Marlins
I'm anxious to see the replay. For only one reason - to see the jump Carlos got off the bat. Baseless hypothesis is that he didn't get a good jump and would have been safe if he was a better base runner. The guy sucks on the base paths.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 14, 2016 -> 01:06 PM) MLB puts IN rules and doesnt enforce them The call on the field was 100% correct and it wasn't even close to warrant an over ruling.

The ball took him into the base path. It was a legal play. He didn't drop the ball either guys. The broadcasters are just spewing biased crap all over.
