  1. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 04:13 PM) We don't know if that's what happened. Using the word "investigation" is a bit scary and leaves a lot of room to the imagination. I already told you exactly what happened. Case closed.
  2. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 04:11 PM) Huh??? You want to trade a top 5 pitcher in baseball for a package centered around a AA 2nd baseman who some project to be a DH in the majors. Time for your parents to take your computer away. Betts and Monacada. Bring it. Please God? That would sure as hell be an OUCH to the Red Sox but I'd be stoked.
  3. What really happened was a pre game meeting with Kenny Williams and Sale. Kenny told Sale that they had a trade package lined up that they couldn't refuse but also mentioned that JR wouldn't approve the deal. Kenny then asked Sale if he considers him a dochebag - to which Sale replied, "yes - of course." Kenny then told him to be a complete jack off, to get completely drunk, and to start ranting about how much better he is than, "Moan-a-catta". Told him to be sure to also eat a lot of itilian desert before getting drunk and requested projectile vomit all over Robin. It went down exactly like this and JR is currently sitting with Kenny "reviewing" the trade offer again. Case closed.
  4. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 03:57 PM) Link? or what's his twitter name? https://twitter.com/brianbilek_/status/756985324425715712
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 03:54 PM) This is gonna get ugly if I'm interpreting Rabbit's last tweet properly Huh? I don't see what you're reading into with his tweet.
  6. QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 03:49 PM) If true Sale just f***ed up their leverage in trade negotiations for him. Not really. Explanation of Sale's b****ing
  7. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 03:48 PM) Yeah he probably got pissed because rumors got out that they may sell. f*** him. You dont want to leave/ Play better and win. You They didnt. Fixed.
  8. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 03:44 PM) Jon Morosi ‏@jonmorosi 8s8 seconds ago Chris Sale involved in a "clubhouse incident before the game," team says. #WhiteSox Uhhhhh. This is seriously the strangest trade rumor s*** I've ever heard.
  9. Someone on the Red Sox forum Sons of Sam Horn posted this: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2016-trade-value-21-to-30/ Check out players 25 and 26.
  10. Albers? Serious? Wow, I've gotta watch this!
  11. QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 02:20 PM) Just not the left one? No. I like my left guy but have always resented his big brother.
  12. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 02:16 PM) I don't see the point in trading Abreu and I think the chances of that happening are close to zero. Not while he's having an average year, for shizzle
  13. I fact, if someone gets me his cell number I'll try hacking a tap into it.
  14. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 01:51 PM) Jim Bowden said on MLB Radio that a GM told him kind of jokingly that he couldn't get through to Hahn because the phone was busy I believe it. Like I made reference to yesterday - id forfeit my right testicle to have a tap on Hahn's phone.
  15. You're not getting Urias and De Leon for Q. How this team looks in 2 weeks or by April of 2017 will sure be interesting!
  16. https://twitter.com/maxwildstein/status/756923894141952000 Barstool follows him. Tweet suggests Haymen cites Sox as asking teams for 5 prospects in any Sale deal. I see no article or direct quote from Haymen to this effect thou. Take it FWIW
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 10:52 AM) I don't think Boston would give up Moncada for either. They spent $63 million signing him with bonus plus penalty. I find it hard to believe he would be available starlight up let alone in a package. With Sale's contract and their investment for Moncada considered, Boston would be "paying" Sale 30.5mm per year on average. They'd also look to lock him up in the later years of his contract... so it would still make business sense for them.
  18. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 09:44 AM) I feel the same way. Based on Q making less money and having an extra year of control, they're basically even to me. Yea. Add in Q having a higher chance of staying healthy and I'd be more apt for Q.
  19. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 09:30 AM) I predict neither go anywhere in the next year. I could see them holding onto them as well. Urg. It's a pickle. They don't have to move either unless they're overwhelmed. It's likely that someone pays through the teeth.
  20. I don't think Texas has what it would take.
  21. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 08:46 AM) The Red Sox and White Sox are a perfect match for a trade. I can see something happening between the two clubs. I wonder what a Robertson/Quintana package would bring back? 3 of the top 35 prospects in all of baseball and two more low minor tickets - that'd be my guess.
  22. QUOTE (daggins @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 08:26 AM) Dodgers were linked (lightly) to Quintana, but they have also been pushing for Archer, who makes a lot of sense for them. Just imagine how Sale and Q will fare in the NL. Good golly gosh.
  23. God, what I would give for a tap on Hahn's phone right now!
