I think that what Cooper is disclosing here is as such: After the surgery - the Sox front office set an internal goal of having Peavy back for the playoffs. They where leaps and bounds ahead of that goal - seeming that he threw 86 pitches in his 4th spring trainning start before they shut him down. Now they're going back to strengthening programs and he'll be back sometime when his body is 100%.

Wasn't able to watch the game but it is FANTASTIC news that Jake was hitting 94 and that he threw 67!

When is Jake's next start? Anyone know??

Yea - and the Giants guy didn't say anything else about it yet. Announcer on the Giants feed said that Peavy was on the mound showing discomfort - then Guillen jumped up and took him out right away. It's hard to tell what happened just from a radio feed.

is anyone else not able to see the webcast on mlb.com?? for me the only option is to listen to their gameday audio and no option to see video. please advise. =P
