QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 5, 2011 -> 08:35 PM) Don't quote me on that though. Yea, I don't expect that at all - but I did email Brooks to see if he could hook up my dad with something special. Who knows if he'll even read the email thou! Just being in Chicago with my dad is all that is important to me. For all I care, we could watch the games in a bar and I'd always have fond memories.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 5, 2011 -> 08:19 PM) and might get special privileges to the clubhouse before/after the game. Now that would be UNREAL! wow. I'm glad I worked my tail of over the last couple months... this is going to be the time of his life and it's with such joy that I embark on this journey. I'll be in Chicago in under 24 hours! Awesome

Has anyone sat in these seats before? I did something silly and picked up two seats for the last Oakland game for my dad and I as a cap to our weeks trip to Chitown. We leave tomorrow and I'm jazzed! Any feedback about the United Scout seating ( if you've experienced it ) or any other tips about the Cell or Chicago in general will be appricated. Thanks to your feedback I've got a great place booked in the River North / Downtown area. Cheers Soxtalk - you guys are all helping a dream for an old man come through from his son.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 07:45 PM) Peavy threw 59 pitches in a simulated game today. No problems. Goal must be for for him to go out on Friday and throw 80. Then I'm guessing next Wednesday the goal is for 100. Who knows thou - I'm no doctor

Sox (2-0) at Cleveland (0-2) 4/3 @ 12:05 CSN

Hopefully Ozzie learns to only use Ohman against lefties and Coop can help him with his location. Humber didn't look too bad - just also had location issues. I'm concerned with Matt as the closer with just 2 pitches... I'd have preferred Sale. We'll see how it rides - I think that the bullpen can get it together and is just behind schedule. Fingers crossed - it's gotta get better or things will be ugly / need to change. Again - it's only been 3 games... we've still got 159 more left... so at this point, there's no real reason to make judgments IMO. -
Last time i did an outing centered around white sox baseball was in a spring trainning trip to see them for a week in 2005. We all know what happened then. In 1 week - I'll be in Chicago with hi8is Sr. for the first 2 series at the cell. Logically speaking - this must mean that we'll win the series again this year. Delusions of grandeur? Me? No? Scarasm? Wit?? Yes!

QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 09:34 AM) time to make the move and drop Rios down in the order... I'm not going to flame you John - it's great to see some support for Carlos. Him, Edwin, and Peavy are my current players whom I expect to surprise a lot of people. With that said - and this isn't any disrespect... It's only been 1 game. I think that if Dunn can play to a .250 / 45 / 100 clip in the 3 hole - we're in good shape. Beckham, Dunn, Konerko, Rios, Quentin... That could be a MURDEROUS 2/3/4/5/6 Throw in Alexi down there in the 8 hole and man - this is going to be a fun year!

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 07:13 PM) Kiss of death I like how in 2005 we where picked to finish 4th. Oh well - this time, we won't have to fly under the radar. Forget the stealth bomber - let's call on a freakin F-16 to blow this up. Bring it. -
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 06:52 PM) Not holding my breath but it's looking like a late April early May comeback. Bomb diggity durag.

QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 05:46 PM) I'm not going to second guess this...if they don't push Humber back to April 9th, they are stupid. They need to lean on the top 4 while Peavy is out. Looks like one of two things is going on here. 1.) He's exclusively working on a pitch and is thus getting beat around or 2.) I was totally wrong and Humber is a total long shot to even give us a 4.5 ERA for 5 starts. We shall see. /me twittles fingers. muahahaha

If the Sox all play to their potential and stay healthy - then they will meet the Phillies in the 2011 World Series.
