Fire Rick Hahn
If JR is letting TLR go but enabling Hahn and Kenny with another shot - they need to be given the power to… 1.) Explicitly hire whoever the f*** they want for coaching positions 2.) Ability to DFA parts of this club that they can’t trade who were brought in by Bologna If they are getting another chance then they should do so with the ability to make their own choices.

Nope…. Hahn said he wants someone who has recent big league experience may that be a manager or bench coach.

Probably staring at him thinking, “He was a drunk and is a drunk and will be a drunk.”

Old Sock Drawer, ex Sox player discussion
Pretty much exactly the innings amount @CaliSoxFanViaSWsideand I pegged him at for this season. Yet another big pile of organizational horseshit that was stepped in.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
I’ll be shocked if he makes the team as the starting right fielder out of ST… but they’ve surprised us before with such assignments… haven’t they? ?

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Hopefully Robert will Robert and they’ll have a 6 WAR player for 11 million or whatever. Put your hopes in Colas too… because I’ll be colored shocked if they go into 2023 with a complete roster that magically sprouted depth.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Sure sounds nice compared to the idea of Vaughn and Abreu both being gone with Sheets / Burger starting at first. I don’t see it. Haha… But I don’t see us signing Rodon… at all. 2023 is going to suck I’m afraid… but let’s see what they do with the manager, coaching staff, and I sure as s%*# hope they beef their fucking analytics department up. Wasn’t there a report of them investing into some driveline type dude but that fell apart or something?

No matter what way you slice the peach it’s gonna be bitter if Grandal, Moncada, Anderson, and Robert don’t come back strong. Add Gio, Bummer, Kopech, Lynn, and Kelly to that list while we’re at it. Woe is me.

Abreu looking on before Hahn won’t really comment on his status with the club next year.

Yup… and the responsibility is on everyone equally… bummer Hahn and Kenny still are getting more rope.

Almost 200m and it’s considered a shoestring budget…. That alone should get him fired. With the financial resources he’s had the guy should have easily filled the holes this team had well known walking into the year. I honestly think that we can thank Balogna for Leury and Kelly but that’s only what…. 15 million or so? We can hang more than 15 million in bad contracts on Hahn easily I’d wager. Valesquez, Diekman, and Pollock alone amount to about what… 18 million? Put those two groups together and you’ve got 33 million dollars. That’s more than it would have taken to sign Schwarber and Peterson.

I wish one reporter had prefaced a question with, “Do I have to wait to ask this question after a parade?”

How about putting LaRussa’s salary towards an analytics department and put your “traditional sensibilities” in the toilet.

What was the response? I tuned out about five minutes into Hahn’s portion.

That was fun - I was listening hoping to hear someone say something like, “well that was fucking horseshit.” Positives: Bologna is out of the entire organization and it seems most of the coaching staff may follow suit. Negatives: The brain trust survives. Our roster and payroll is a mess that will rely on bounce back years. So cool.

Needs: to have the offense return to what they can be, better defense, better depth. Duh

Rick Hahn talking about qualifications for the next manager, “basically who we wanted last time that isn’t of the mold that Tony was from” Thats paraphrased of course but he is specifically saying that thankfully they’ll “break the mold and look for people who don’t necessarily have ties to the White Sox, aside from with the exception of Miguel Ciro.”
