  1. Look through the starting lineups for the all-stars with an eye to draft position. A lot of second, third, and fourth rounders. Even a 13th round guy or two. That means we drafted like 7 future all-stars and we are the next baseball dynasty. Obviously.
  2. I can easily see a world where we just drafted four first round talent types. Crazy good draft, easily the best I’ve seen since following the draft… which I’m sure was 20 some years ago.
  3. I really hope there are condos so I can basically live at the new stadium.
  4. Oh yea - I forgot about the old sig. f*** Fernando. Good idea. 😆
  5. Grab the best starting pitcher you can for Carlson and go to war. Improve if possible elsewhere on the margins with a right handed catcher or something like that. Otherwise, just rely on bringing more kids up.
  6. Ding ding winner winner spaghetti pasta dinner
  7. Winston - no way you’re serious.
  8. Wish there was quotes on all the day one guys too.
  9. Strange, I’ve heard the opposite- that he can play second, third, corner of, or catcher. They announced him as a 2B because they want him to focus on what they believe in most ( his hit tool ).
  10. Can’t wait to have gold glove defense at short and hopefully a move to third for Colson will take his D up another level while helping with his back too.
  11. I don’t think Bauer is as washed as people believe. If the league hadn’t unjustly black balled him, he would be a serviceable to good starting pitcher still. I’m sure of it. The showing for Roch here was very impressive.
  12. English as a second language?
  13. Random often untold fact about Roch: On his wrist he has a predominant tattoo of a Roman numeral XXI, 21, representing the honor of a former travel ball teammate that passed away. His friend wore number 21 and Roch wanted to “take him with him”. Wonder if he brings that number with him in Chicago or if his sticks with the number 1 jersey he sported at UCLA.
  14. Would have loved this for our team and for Roch. They not only are former UCLA teammates but also are childhood friends. Was rooting for us to grab him for sure.
  15. I found a video of Gordon Beckham driving to the park to fill in for Steve…
  16. Here’s a clip of him cutting down a runner at home with an insane relay throw:
  17. Wonder if it is Kyle Casteel. Assume that’s the case or the guy on their board got nabbed before they picked him up. I could see them picking up Prosek with their second round pick having him be unexpected to be on their board and foregoing their targeted HS arm. If that was the case I’d venture the guess that the guy was Logan Schmidt.
  18. That is absurd. Wow!
  19. Looks nasty - love it!
  20. Reminds me of years past where we’d see drafts from teams like the rays, royals, or Indians and salivate. Now we get to salivate for our own draft - woot woot!
  21. 8 of 16 picks have been pitchers. What draft are you watching?
  22. Post em up folks! Let’s get to know the young man who just may end up becoming the next great Chicago White Sox player for our franchise. He’s already a household name! LETS FUCKING GO!!!!! Starting it off here is a video of him facing off against Trevor Bauer which I found really insightful into Roch and his mental approach during an at bat.
