Yea, different approaches for different days… even when facing the same pitcher. Approach can even change during the same game against the same opponent. They saw he was in and around the zone and wanted to jump him instead of risk falling behind. I don’t mind it - as long as they crack it and get some runs on the board, we’re good. Sox teams in the past have been a nightmare swinging out of the zone… these guys aren’t the same.

He’s in and around the zone so they’re looking to do damage. Even his walk was on a couple of borderline spots - so if you’re going up the the plate and see something right there where you’re planning to do damage, you take that shot.

Rocker has the slider going in the zone today. If they were going into the game planning to spit on it, they’ll need to adjust and start hunting it.
