I think one reason they didn’t make a big trade for a TOR type starter was that they believe someone like Carlson will only improve their prospect status and will command more value in the offseason. Combine that with a belief that trade costs are usually lower in the offseason than at the deadline, and it makes a lot of sense… But it does a disservice to this years squad and their performance.

I really wanted them to save Castillo for this series too. Think he matches up better against the Indians than he did in bean town.

It really is amazing that the Indians have only won 4 of the last 15 and are only two games back. Shows how much we have been struggling and how much things would be different if we had been able to kick things into another gear. In one way we’re lucky to still be on the top of the Central… and in another way we should have a 6+ game lead with the pennant already in the bag. So frustrating… Urg… I need to fucking sleep until we win again.
