I think you’ll be surprised then. He’s THE TOP available pitcher. The big guns across the league will be pitted against one another to try and not only add him but to also keep him from potential NLCS / ALCS / WS dog fights. He isn’t your usual rental scenario.

Another note I saw on Schultz, "He carried a 5 percent walk rate in his first two pro seasons before it spiked to 14 percent when his knee acted up in 2025." Hopefully some of his struggles this season end up being tied to his knee acting up again and we get him back healthy really being able to dial in and flash his promise for us for the next couple of months. Having him show out as a TOR type arm with Burke seemingly taking a big step up would be massive for this teams chances to make the playoffs and do some damage in them. Bring me the World Series, White Sox!
