  2. I don’t comprehend how anyone could hate on this kid.
  3. It’s been sad to see him become a black hole at the plate. The adjustments made to pitchers approach while facing Peters have been overwhelming for him. Him getting back on track or Doyle unlocking untapped potential at the dish are story lines that are extremely important for our success down the stretch.
  4. Uncalled for.
  5. Who TF is this? 😆
  6. Regardless of anyone’s Will Venable stance, we’re just going to have to understand that he isn’t likely to change his style in the middle of a season. Like most things, he is likely to evolve slowly.
  7. Hard to be regulated in the bargain isle for the most valuable commodity at the tail end of a season 😢
  8. I had hoped that Roch would start to wear number 21… would have made for a good story opportunity.
  9. 0.57 GB/FB 5.76 FIP 1.335 WHIP Eek.

  11. Nice to see them do this. Hopefully Noah also made it into Chicago earlier than the rest of the team since some times upcoming starters will travel during a getaway game. Would be nice to have at least 2 of our 26 fresh. 😆
  12. What are you talking about man? The direct quote originated from Bart and it was along these lines: “KT brought it up. He saw something and once he was able to start calling out pitches as they came, he knew there was some tipping. That’s when he brought it over to me and Davis.” That is in a completely different universe from what you’re attempting to invent. You’re just pulling s%*# out of your ass for some reason.
  13. “They’re doing a pretty piss poor job of cheating.” Or “Well, they sure are blending in those losses at a high enough rate to fly under the radar - tricky!” 😆
  14. Or you’re just making connections that simply don’t exist in order to be negative and critical.
  15. My ears and eyes are now bleeding. Thanks.
  16. How’s his defense? I sure hope the Sox are willing to give others a try behind the dish but I also have a feeling that they will now simply roll out our “trusty duo” of Romo / Quero.
  17. Anyone who outright dismissed the potential of cheating in professional sports in the modern era is a fool. This thread ( or anyone bringing up the idea ) would only be an embarrassment IMO if the concept was presented as a fact or as an accusation. Exploring the potential, in present day, is warranted discussion that should quickly be chalked up as an unlikely possibility.
  18. Post of the thread. Like I said initially, it is not LIKELY that they are cheating… but it’s something which cannot be wholly dismissed. The MOST LIKELY explanation is what you and others have stated… the Red Sox are simply on a historic heater and we ran into their buzzsaw at the wrong time. Still, as another poster mentioned, it would sure be interesting to see a team switch to throwing down signs against them to see if their bats look any different.
  19. admin / password123 for the win. 😆 This seems a rare occurrence where joejoe and I can agree… With modern technology, it is entirely a possibility that a team could cheat at the MLB level by hacking PitchCom.
  20. I kind of miss 2019 / 2020 / 2021 where 95% of all of baseball was completely united in absolutely HATING the Assblows while cheering on every up and in heater.
  21. I would think the most likely point of failure that would allow a team to cheat would be PitchCom… and that system is obviously not a variable based on where games are played.
  22. The entire series their hitters sure seemed to be dialed in for every single pitcher. I don’t think them cheating is something that can be outright dismissed because: 1.) Their organization has cheated in the past 2.) Their drastic improvement correlates to the organization making changes in their coaching ( which would be a good opportunity to introduce methodologies of cheating ). 3.) In this age, with technology, it could be possible for a device to be created and distributed to their players. For example, they could have funded an engineer to create a device that is worn and gives of a sequence of vibrations based on the 915 MHz radio signal from PitchCom. It is not LIKELY that they had hired engineers who were able to decrypt the signals and translate them into a wearable device… but with advancements in localized AI, I would think it could be a possibility. I haven’t researched it much but will now. If I find anything, I’ll follow up.
  23. Her first course of action was attempting to get me arrested - because doing so instantly would have given her full custody AND an ability to continue living rent free in the fully paid off house that I brought into the marriage. Thankfully, I was lucky with the officers who had responded to the call. They believed my testimony over her’s and when they responded, they observed me operating as a caring present single father without any indication of their arrival. A lot of men in this situation aren’t that “lucky” because the gender bias runs in police offices as well as family law courts. Even though I was viewed favorably by the police and by the department of child family services, I couldn’t get through the family court gauntlet… Of course, as her attempts of manipulation failed, her stories grew and her resources did as well. Marrying well is the most important choice a man can make and people who haven’t been through this type of situation do not understand how destructive, manipulative, and traumatic being tied to a psychopathic person can be. Anyhow, we’re on the wrong forum for this. If you want to talk more about your buddy in this light feel free to dm me. And most importantly ( in the spirit of Soxtalk ) LETS GO ROCH!!
