Friend of mine is a huge Giants fan and he was pissed when San Fran gave up on Bart. He said that he was starting to figure it out in flashes. Maybe Bart will surprise us. He literally can not be worse than what we’ve had so far. 😆

Are you sure? In that interview I thought I heard him saying it WAS a possibility.

I think many here are discounting the potential here. They may be right and he may be a lost cause… but I will not be surprised one bit if this ends up being Miguel Vargas v2 in centerfield. Time will tell and we’ll see in time. Until then, see ya’ll tomorrow. Wish they would have gotten Foster Griffin but… oh well. May we mightily kick his ass and I be proven wrong once more.

That is a certainty.

Mason Adams isn’t our best pitching prospect and I think we are going to be pleasantly surprised by Doyle.

I at least have to find solace in a belief that Getz drove up the price here on the Indians and forced them to give up more than they wanted. Still think we could have offered a quality over quantity deal that the Nats would have taken… and I would have slotted Forest right at the top with Burke. Really would have felt like walking on sunshine if we had Burke / Griffin / Martin / Kay / Castillo / Schultz as our starting rotation options. Maybe what the Sox have been seeing out of Noah lead them to believe that he is starting to become trustworthy as that number 2 type guy. And maybe they also plan to move Hagen Smith / McDougal up to further strengthen the pen.

Yup yup

I think this one has the most potential to surprise people.

Heavy price for a rental on a big contract. Glad Getz passed here.

Nobody wanted him 😆😆😆😆

We could have easily offered more value in a way that has no harm to our future. This is dumb.

This is absurd. In what world do the Sox not beat that package. Oh, this world. Fucking retarded.

I’d rather have Doyle than Everson. So it’s not anything upsetting to me. Just wish they had picked up Foster instead of letting him go to a rival. That is some bullshit.

Was he out of options?

Griffin was one of the best rentals available and in his start against us he threw 7 innings of two hit ball.

7 innings of 2 hit shutout ball. Sure would have been nice to have that on our mound and kept him off theirs.

In this one instance - yes. Griffin would have been a fantastic get for us.

I really don’t like Cleveland getting Griffin - If I am Getz, that REALLY worries me.

Apparently the Nats are getting four prospects back. May be a heafty ass price for a rental. Good lord.

We’ll see who they had to give up. Four prospects for a rental. God damn.

“The Athletic’s Spencer Nusbaum reports that Washington will receive four players in return for the All-Star”

I AM PISSED. We really should have pulled him down. ESPECIALLY IF WE WERE UP AGAINST HIM GOING TO CLEVELAND. WHAT THE f*** GETZ!!!!!!!

GOD FUCKING DAMN IT GETZ - NOW IM PISSED OFF TO NO GOD DAMNED END. WHAT THE f*** DID CLEVELAND GIVE THAT WE WOULDNT FUCKING MATCH HERE??? Griffin would have been PERFECT!

Now compare Romo and Bart.

It’s the stuff. He has always possessed the pure stuff of an ace and hasn’t been able to put it together. Recently this year, he has started to finally show flashes and indications that he is putting it together and for the next 2.5 years is trending to come into the frontline ace teams have seen as a ceiling for him.
