  1. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 03:02 PM) Ugh...bad decision by Cutler, but Hester as usual just stands there and lets the ball get picked rather then helping out his QB. That was not a bad decision - Hester was open but Hall cheated the route, and Hester stood there and let him. An actual WR knows to break that up.
  2. Hester just f***ing stood there instead of coming back to the ball.
  3. That looked like a TD to me... good challenge
  4. QUOTE (daa84 @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 02:38 PM) what i never understood...is that they seemingly did that against dallas...hitting olsen on the quick hitter over the middle, but martz failed to go back to that under pressure in the last few games This works because Dallas and Washington are both 3-4 teams.
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 02:27 PM) Wow, that was a terrific play by Cutler for the Td. That was like an exhibition of his skillset. Evades rusher, buys a couple extra seconds with his feet, while running throws an extremely accurate pass into double coverage.
  6. TOUCHDOWN! Finally the offense gets something going.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 02:24 PM) Great drive by the Bears and Cutler. Cutler getting rid of the ball instantly so the oline hasn't had a chance to f*** up. It takes longer to move down the field, but it's better than getting dropped for -10
  8. QUOTE (daa84 @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 02:20 PM) i think earl bennett is a very underrated player ....excellent blocker, great hands, just lacks that top end speed to really be a threat down the field It's not glamorous, but he's a fantastic blocker. I wasn't too high on him coming in. If Aromashodu could do the dirty work like that he'd be a Pro Bowler.
  9. Greg Olsen's face is on a milk carton somewhere
  10. How was that not interference on Landry? He basically tackled Olsen, mounted him and started f***ing him before he knocked the ball away.
  11. Ravens are losing to the Bills 17-3. Seriously.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 02:00 PM) Considering he has a false start, and has directly contributed to all 3 sacks, he hasn't shown any ability to run block and he was a former first round pick there absolutely is a reason to single him out. Plus, I've been on the entire oline sucks bandwagon since last year. I saw this coming from a mile away. Jerry Angelo is a f***ing clown who has no business being a GM. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...nsive-line.html Money quote: "That's why I keep emphasizing, it's not about getting great players, it's about getting the same five players playing well together." It's no f***ing wonder, man. He legitimately doesn't have any idea what the f*** he's doing.
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 24, 2010 -> 01:55 PM) Chris Williams is horrendous. He is a f***ing joke of a football player. And lol at the rest of the offensive line. f***ing clownshow No point in singling him out really. There is no NFL caliber player on the O-line, sans Kreutz maybe a quarter of the time.
  14. I'm done defending Chris Williams, as of right now my position has officially changed from "he's still a question mark" to "he sucks and is a bust" This is approaching "fun bad" territory.
  15. Damn Jay you almost beat the sack, just throw the f***ing ball away. Sheesh.
  16. These guys don't look like professional NFL players.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 13, 2010 -> 09:18 AM) There is zero chance of that actually happening in a short period of time. That is something that happens over a generation or more. If we had gone into the playoffs again in 2006 instead of tanking, not completely blown 2007, made the playoffs again in 2008 like we did, and not went below .500 again in 2009, all while the Cubs were setting new benchmarks for ineptitude, that's a lot of momentum that could've been built. The team's just kind of squashed it and gone back to normal, with those of us that were there before.
  18. Stupid, teenage girls are. I'm convinced they are a punishment.
  19. Normally I'd say that's a big deal, but when's the last time it mattered who was catching Manning's passes? The only times that I ever noticed something clearly slow Manning down were 1) a few years ago when teams designed entire defensive schemes specifically to try to stop Manning in the playoffs and 2) surgery at the beginning of 2008, and he still threw for 4000 yards and almost 30 TDs and won the MVP anyway.
  20. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 22, 2010 -> 01:46 PM) I wouldn't count on it. Some hitters just don't hit early. Frank Thomas had a .300 career average and a .965 OPS or better in every month except April, where he put up a .282/.407/.510/.917 line for his career. Still good, but clearly inferior to every other month. lol, I see your point but that's like the worst example you could give. "He was a super ultra mega badass every other month but in April he was just a super badass"
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 23, 2010 -> 01:13 AM) 2005 - awesome. Since then ... a surprise. I thought the Sox would continue excellence if not domination for some time to come. Right after the Sox won it all, I think there was a feeling the team might have a sustained run. Granted we haven't fallen off the map with some playoff appearances, but as it stands TODAY, the team certainly doesn't look like an AL champion contender for some time to come. Our everyday lineup is not championship caliber. Our pitching (on paper) IS championship caliber. Unfortunately our pitching has been far from consistent and our bullpen has been poor the past 2 seasons at least. 05 ... magical. Tear-inducing. Since then ... Tear inducing for the wrong reasons. I thought this going into 2007 because of the lineup looking like the '27 Yankees, then almost everyone had the worst year of their careers at the same time. This is why that season was such a punch in the solar plexus. The wheels just came flying off. 2008 was a nice surprise but then 2009 overrode any lingering thoughts from that. 2010 was a disappointment any way I look at it.
  22. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Oct 22, 2010 -> 04:31 PM) I may end up using the stylus to just poke my eyes out, but I'll probably use it for Brady/Kirk. Four years ago I wrote in Abraham Lincoln for governor. I'm tempted to do it again and add Stephen Douglas for Senator. Granted, it was a different time and standards were different, but Stephen Douglas was openly a white supremacist. That was more or less all 19th century Democrats though (up to Woodrow Wilson)
