If you've ever worked for a large bureaucratic organization and had to coordinate with another branch of that bureaucracy, you've probably encountered the phenomenon where the person you're dealing with is obviously trying to avoid having to do any work that's outside the norm for them. Verizon is probably the best network overall and the best phone selection. I think T-Mobile has the best deals and some pretty decent phones, but their 3G network is pretty meh and they'll probably be behind the curve on 4G, too. I can't speak for AT&T's network quality because I haven't had them since I switched to T-Mobile, which was years ago before smartphones came out, and I wasn't impressed then, but that's pretty irrelevant now. The iPhone is the iPhone, it's awesome and I'm sure if you get it you'll like it, but it's not the only "best" phone out there regardless of what the bizarre cult people will tell you. There's a lot of really, really sweet phones out right now and the last couple of years have been a really good time to shop. I'll go so far as to say if you buy just about any $400 phone (with the rebate/subsidy) you'll be impressed with it.

I went to a Sox-Orioles game in July at Camden yards, the first time I'd gotten to see the Sox live in several years, since about 1999 I think. The Sox at the time were cruising, had been sitting comfortably in first place for a while, and kicked the s*** out of the Orioles that game. When I was going back to my car in the parking garage elevator I ran into some other Sox fans and we chatted about how it was awesome the team was doing so good. I said (completely serious and maybe for the first time ever actually meaning it) "hell yeah, this team looks like it could go to the World Series!" and the guy next to me says "well I don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but..."

I find it ironic to see Rodney Harrison giving commentary on NBC about players giving dirty hits... he was the dirtiest piece of s*** in the NFL when he played. I guess you can consider him an expert.

I don't know what to say about this team really. The defense is ok, special teams is decent, but the offense is ridiculously inconsistent. The line for the most part wasn't very good but they weren't an abortion either, the receivers were awful and Cutler completely collapsed in the second half.

Any guesses on how this drive will end? I say the ball will bounce off Olsen's hands into a defender.

The 2006 loss to New England was just about as ugly.

I saw the replay of that last pick and Knox definitely quit on his route.
