  1. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 2, 2010 -> 11:24 PM) Well I guess now a slim majority in the House is a "mandate". Its hilarious to hear people like Cantor talk. He wants to cut spending, but he will almost never actually give a way to cut spending. But its going to be fun to have a split house and senate, politics are going to be really bad for the next 2 years. A slim house majority in a midterm election is a mandate but passing legislation that was campaigned on by the party that won the executive branch in a landslide through a supermajority is not legitimate and basically amounts to treason and un-American activity. Typical Republican logic, people will see nothing has changed.

    Haircuts

Black people usually have to go to black barbers to get specific styles or because of the different texture of it... my hair is fine like a non-black person's butI still have to go to a black barber to get it cut a certain way.
  3. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Nov 2, 2010 -> 10:47 PM) Feingold - gone. That's huge. It gets worse because no one will admit that they are wrong. A bunch of p****-ass Democrats who were scared to vote with their party half the time for fear of not getting re-elected are going down too
  4. Well all the lazy-ass voters who voted for Obama and the Dems in '08 thought they fixed everything in that election and it was all over... America doesn't get fixed in a single election, to the extent that America even gets fixed through elections at all. That's something people will find out after this election when everything is still all f***ed up, and most likely gets worse... again...
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 1, 2010 -> 10:19 PM) Yeah, i can read... lol, sir, you are a no-go at this station
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 1, 2010 -> 09:57 PM) It;s something like 25 D to 11 R for seats up for Senate in 2012. Not sure about the house. It's the same 435 seats up for re-election every time
  7. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 1, 2010 -> 09:50 PM) You mean 2 years, right? I was thinking that too, seeing as how his odds of getting his party's majority back are probably better in 2012 than they would be in 2014
  8. I made a comment on Facebook about seeing a woman that was skinny and had huge tits so her bra size had to be 28DDD, and my Japanese friend (i.e. Japanese national from Japan) asked what that meant. I said it's a bra size but it's exaggerated, she said oh Japanese sizes are different, I'm a 75F. I put that in a converter and it said that's a 34DD so she asks me "is that good or bad?" I told her I don't know what Japanese men like but in America that's usually very, very good. lol.
  9. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 1, 2010 -> 07:09 PM) Yep Childress is on real shaky ground right now. Either Dungy or Leslie Frazier to coach that team next season for sure. I doubt if Dungy is interested in coaching
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 17, 2010 -> 03:24 PM) Link I wonder, shouldn't Transocean and Halliburton have to pay some kind of damages too?
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 1, 2010 -> 06:27 PM) southsider i'll leave this up to you since it's offseason and you are a mod. should i answer all of his questions to me or leave it alone? You don't have to reply to everything somebody says to you esp. when it's said that way
  12. Moss doesn't really do s*** but run fly and post routes... hell, Martz loves those
  13. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 1, 2010 -> 12:15 AM) Ozzie Guillen had enough hitting ability to play at SS and he never had an OPS+ higher than 85. Barely.
  14. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 31, 2010 -> 07:49 PM) http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/the-100-bes...-restore-sanity 44 is great. So is 1. If money is speech then speech isn't free. Awesome
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 01:19 PM) Remember how Andrew Breitbart totally destroyed his reputation with that heavily edited video of Shirley Sherrod that got her fired slightly before she was re-offered a job, and how we all agreed that Breitbart was a total embarrassment and the only reason for any news organization to ever hire him again is if they wanted to look like a complete bunch of useless right-wing idiots who care nothing about accuracy and everything about promoting the Republican agenda? Damn liberal media
  16. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Oct 29, 2010 -> 01:08 PM) I was thinking I would like the optional keyboard so I was looking at the Epic or the BB torch. The only pro I see for the BB is our BES and not worrying about any exchange integration. I've seen a few people use swype...it looks pretty cool. Does it take some getting used to? I have 2 friends that love the iphone and 2 that hated it and got rid of it. I also have a lot of attorneys that returned it right away. Network coverage seems like I'd be ok with Verizon or AT&T. Sprint I'm not sure about. Thanks all for the feedback. I've honestly never heard of somebody hating the iPhone, or any advanced phone for that matter
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 29, 2010 -> 08:20 AM) There's 2 different types of "whipping boys" here that we ought to distinguish. The first kind of whipping boy is the guy who is failing entirely because of himself. The guy who has the talent to be significantly better than what they are, and they're squandering that talent. That class includes guys like Swisher, Vazquez, Anderson, Joe Crede for much of his career, etc. Juan Uribe is in that category. He was a ridiculous bat for the first half of 04, but he never found that groove again and wound up never learning how to make adjustments to pitches when he was with us, so he'd be hitting in the low .200's and swinging for the fences all the time. The 2nd type of whipping boy is the type that we're more pissed at the Sox for how they're using them. Sometimes we get so sick of their use that it erupts onto the person, but the real problem is how they're used. Rob Mackowiak, Darin Erstad, Mark Kotsay, a lot of Ozzie's "LOOGY"s come to mind there. Also DeWayne Wise (2nd category)
  18. lol, you weren't kidding about his web page being written in Latin. What the f***. Google translate doesn't even pick half of it up. "Vestibulum iaculis lacinia est" is e-mail address apparently... didn't know they used computers in Rome.
  19. This is funny as s***. That would be awesome. Despite my criticism of him I'm not a big "fire Ozzie" guy, but yeah I would fly to Chicago and help move his s*** out of the office if this was true (which I'm sure it isn't). 2 birds one stone.
  20. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 11:56 PM) Mackowiak was a huge whipping boy in 2006. Everyone seemed to want Anderson to play and would get really angry if he wasn't in center field. I don't really remember Mackowiak being that much of a whipping boy, per se. I remember people being mad that he was playing in CF (and f***ing up b/c he was set up to fail), but he could handle a bat so people never really got that mad at him. I remember the next year people being mad at Erstad starting in CF though. Yuck.
  21. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 11:10 PM) Do you remember 2007? Erstad all the way. I posted here in late 2007 but yeah I can buy that. Erstad blew fat cock.
  22. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 10:43 PM) I don't remember that much Uribe hate to be honest. Maybe I just blacked it out because he was my favorite player. Uribe was the site's main whipping boy for all of 2007 and 2008 and while I didn't come here much in 2006, he probably drove people crazy then too. I think only Kotsay has been b****ed about more.
  23. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 10:17 PM) Thats because watching him hit was maddening. The Juan Uribe love is revisionist history. Most people were driven nuts watching him swing at everything and spin around. Dick Allen was probably one of the few true blue Uribe supporters when he was on the team. Juan Uribe played wonderful defense and played hard, but watching him hit ooh god. He had some good pop thats about all I can say. Juan being gone allowed for Gordon Beckham to come up in 2009. If you think for a minute that Beckham would of been promoted last year with Uribe on the team I think you are dreaming. His hitting stats for the year are okay, nothing real eye popping for the year. His stance and how he loads are completely changed though. If anything its keeping him quieter so he isnt spinning out of control as much. He is having a great post season. Great for him. This This This He would completely disappear for like 5 weeks at a time while he flailed wildly at strike 3 on a pitch headed directly towards his head. Then get ridiculously hot and hit a barrage of homers for 2 weeks and then disappear again. I loved him before his streaks got too extreme (and 2005 came before that). After that I really couldn't tolerate it for much longer. Then he left for the NL, and presumably stopped being so streaky, or at least his hot streaks would come more often or whatever, but he was much better than he was when he left the Sox.
  24. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) Have to agree on this one. You can get all the anecdotal evidence from others that you want, but what matters is how the network performs where you will use it. I hear countless stories about AT&T sucking, but in Vegas, it is very, very good. And of course, I think the iPhone is an outstanding device, especially with all the developer support they get, but I'm sure like others have said, any of these new phones you get will probably knock your socks off if you've been rolling with the old school equipment. $$$$ Where I live my network performance is outstanding - so all of those commercials really don't mean anything to me.
