  1. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/index Go here...Dave Revsine has a little thing about the White Sox, when you load the page. Good piece. Yeah I caught that. Good to hear a real Sox fan tell it like it is on there.
  2. Which MLB surprise is most likely to make the playoffs? Arizona Diamondbacks 4% Baltimore Orioles 17% Chicago White Sox 41% Los Angeles Dodgers 38% Vote early, vote often (if you care about this sort of thing) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/index It's not often the Sox are in the spotlight so we might as well enjoy it right?
  3. Proposed Dimension from left to right: 328, 371, 402, 371, 331. This could be a fun place to play.
  4. Her blog has to be one of the most creative baseball sites I read. Sure there's not a whole lot of meat on there and it's mostly fluff but it's damn funny. These lego reenactments and stories like the New York Yankee monster are comedy gold.
  5. http://www.smalltime.com/dictator.html I think this is the one LMB.
  6. Jon has more movement on his sinker and his changeup is a dominant strikeout pitch this year. Lefties take really awful swings off his changeup. Supposedly, Jon learned how to get better movement on his sinker when he was sick at the beginning of the season.
  7. Didn't see any mention of this posted yet. As a Sox fan, I don't like the Twins but as a baseball fan I'm happy to see they may finally get the stadium they deserve. It's supposed to open in 2009 but there better be a damn roof on it. http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/...t=.jsp&c_id=min
  8. I still feel much better going into Oakland on a seven game winning streak with a 3-0 Garland than going in with an 0-3 Garland.
  9. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) Someone tell them Valentin isn't playing here anymore. Let's just stay under the radar. Next year we'll take all the names off of the unis and not announce any moves.
  10. I'm just trying to enjoy this while I can. There's a good chance the Sox will never be 15-4 again in my lifetime.
  11. Tigers finally get their first save of the season.
  12. I don't think anyone was tossed.
  13. The video is on big-boys.com. I felt bad when I laughed but I couldn't help it.
  14. Tigers bullpen This is almost like watching us play the Twins.
  15. I guess I'll be the first to say he wasn't the greatest. He was maybe "not quite good". He was a real Valentin with the glove though.
  16. Royals Payroll: $36.2 million Yankees luxury tax: $30.6 million George having to pay it for a 7-11 team that is booed daily by its paying customers: priceless
  17. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 08:08 PM) I just dropped Adams for Turnbow within the past hour, and then this thread pops up. Ain't that some s***. I have Armando Benitez, Joe Nathan, Mike MacDougal, and Derrick Turnbow to supplement my starting crew of Pedro Martinez, Chris Carpenter, Brandon Webb, CC Sabathia, Gustavo Chacin, and Dan Haren. Should I go with 7 starters and 3 closers? I dunno. When Jeremy Affeldt gets off the DL and takes over for MacDougal, I'll probably pick up another starter. But for the time being, it's a nice luxury to have four closers. Burgos is now the official closer for KC. KC doesn't close much of anything so you'd be better off avoiding that mess.
  18. I think Ronnie Woo Woo would be better at PBP than DJ.
  19. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) Sox win and are in 1st place w/ the best record in the MLB also riding a 7 game winning streak AND the Bulls win a playoff game!!!!!! AM I f***ING DREAMING??? Speaking of dreams, does anyone ever dream about the Sox? There's a few times I can remember dreaming of being at White Sox playoff games.
  20. I've had some toe injuries in the past. Not fun. I also don't know of anything slower than AJ running on a bum toe.
  21. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) Dye had better kill his old team like he killed us when he was with the A's. Dye appears to still be killing us.
  22. Where do you live farm? Pretty much anywhere is within driving distance of a minor league ballpark. Major league by far. I don't think I'd be very interested in baseball if I lived nowhere near a major league ballpark.
  23. I guess this belongs on both the PastSox and the FutureSox message boards.
