Didn't that fan cut his off? I just can't imagine one being ripped off. It would require a signficant amount of force.

I liked the old Google Groups better. Now there's Google Groups Beta and the interface sucks. Hopefully their web browser is good if it ever comes out.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 11:01 PM) Congrats you want a cookie? No, I just want people to think for themselves and not tell others they are wrong because someone said so.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 10:55 PM) The plumber and the electrician are two different people. Life insurance technically works but coffin is a better answer. Aha but it doesn't say they are two different people hence that one is right and you concede that life insurance works. "Better answer" is just your opinion because you think these questions have one right answer. Either way, all of my answers are right too.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) Would it be stroking your genius ego to tell you that my 7-YEAR OLD came home from school with that one the other day? OK then, here's another one from Mr.Whoopie: What has 18 legs and catches flies? With Jose Valentin gone, the 2005 White Sox.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 10:47 PM) I guess you got 2 right, I don't know why I included that but 6 is not life insurance it is a coffin. And for 14 the electrician and plumber are husband and wife. The point of this was to see if you could explain why the answers are wrong and not tell me that these questions can only have one right answer. You failed.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 10:40 PM) You got 2, 6 and 14 wrong. The rest are right. Explain why they are wrong.

Without looking at other answers here are my guesses: 1. 'incorrectly' 2. Zero 3. White 4. None 5. Stock Market? Temperature? 6. Life insurance? 7. The child was born before 1776 8. Mt. Everest 9. She lives in the Southern Hemisphere. 10. At the time, it was not called World War One 11. The word 'and' 12. Every year 13. She was a Justice of the Peace 14. The electrician and plumber are the same man. 15. No, he would be dead. Also for the racecar one I wrote, it is impossible for the car to average 60mph.

Happy Birthday Mr. Rubarb.
-
Fairly easy but good one from a recent interview: A racecar drives a lap around a 1 mile track in exactly 2 minutes. How fast must the car go in its second lap so that the average speed for the two laps combined is 60mph?

QUOTE(Tmar28 @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) how do i disable IDN in firefox? i did that change network.enableIDN to false and i can still see that fake page. There's a fix mentioned near the bottom of this page that supposedly works. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punycode

This is the actual character being used. Looks like an a, eh? http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/0430/index.htm

International character sets have alot of characters that look exactly like the Latin ones we use. The first link is actually for "http://www.p & #1072 ; ypal.com/" but it looks exactly the same and will direct you to the wrong site if your browser has IDN support. I recommend you turn off IDN if this happens. The full explanation is here
-
If you use one of these browsers, this link may work if you have international domain name support turned on. It is NOT the real Paypal but a spoofed website. This won't work on IE. Fake Paypal Real Paypal

Finally broke 400 with a 407 but the fact that I can't get 100% completion reminds me of Gran Turismo 2. Edit: Got it with

I can get like 370 but I can't get 100% on the third car. I park it perfectly in the spot and it gives me a 75%.
-
That old car's worth money. [Door falls off] Victory Auto Wreckers will give you cash on the spot. ...er something like that. Now that I think about it, there's nothing really funny about that commercial but it's a classic.

http://internet.newsforge.com/article.pl?s...&tid=144&tid=78 Just so everyone knows, I think Mozilla Firefox is a solid product but it is not without its faults. Many people think it is immune to the bugs and exploits of Internet Explorer as the software often claims. On the other hand, a fully-updated IE browser and safe browsing practices makes IE about as safe as a Firefox installation with extensions. If the Firefox user base ever begins to rival the IE one, we will see more spyware targeted at Firefox. The real vulnerability is the Windows operating system more than the browser itself. Firefox on Linux or OS X is much safer than Firefox on Windows.

Yeah I think he made some typos. The Rock and filthy make alot more sense.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) Name one worse than a talking oven mitt with the voice of Tom Arnold. That Eagle Man that used to poop eggs on people's cars. Male eagles should not lay eggs nor sell insurance. Stu from the Golf Mill Ford commercials.
-
At least he doesn't bust down walls like some mascots that certain people love.

How was AVP great? As a fan of the first 2 and sometimes the third movie, I can't see how anyone could like AVP. Please explain this to me.
-
I don't hate many things and if I did, what reason would I have to hate an oven mitt?

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 04:50 PM) Translation: The Batista figure talks about his extremely open stance, where he says "I always stand face to face," while the other guy says "you better not do that in the shower. I don't think it gets much funnier than that. I got a friend to do some translating: konerko - the one who wasnt tko-ed "now i'm the only one left" buehrle - "youre not an awesoime eater because you eat alot, its about how you eat" lee - hidden in the shade "let me take a picture in the front too" garcia did you feel locks strength? guillen "hmm" garcia "dont contemplate" takatsu hella dirty (hygenic wise not dirty playin) player.. -makes some noise- "im not cowering because im afraid of crap, its cuz its dirty" valentin cyclone swing "if it hits its training" "will he hit it" contreras king of wild pitches "where is he throwing?" It makes a little more sense now. Shingo is dirty?
