Who cares what division they play in? How many Twins, Tigers, Royals and Indians fans do you talk to every day? How about Cubs fans? I used to think Cubs fans had a point when they said we cared too much about them, but I've learned to live with the fact that this is a two team town. One of the sweeter parts of being in a two team town is when one team's closer gets (mis?)quoted talking trash about the other and blows a save the next night. Anyone who can't see and enjoy the irony in that doesn't have a pulse.

Well Dumpster will get to talk about his blown save, loss tonight after Todd Walker made a game saving play on the previous batter.

I think Hawk ran out of interesting things to say about five years ago. It's probably more a testament to his long tenure in the booth than anything else, but almost all of his baseball insight is stuff we've heard before. He does invent a new Hawkism every once in a while to keep things fresh, and if you're lucky, an ump will make a bad call and Hawk will go off for an inning. Otherwise, give me DJ and Singleton any day of the week.

I was originally told the new movie would be about an all-new crew/cast. I guess prequels are just too cool for Paramount to pass up on this opportunity. Casting should be interesting for this, I can't see audiences accepting big-name actors as replacements for Shatner or Nimoy. It will be the first Star Trek movie to introduce a new cast like this so I imagine at least half of fans will automatically hate it. Jim, I think only the 5 live-action series are considered canon, but the animated series would most likely be the one they are counting as #6.
