QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 04:10 AM) why does majority of you guys wanna rush up Viciedo? He is only 22 years old, well ya I know Pierre hasnt been impressive nor has Dunn but like what KW and Ozzie have been saying you need to give as much ABs as possible not just platoon him with Dunn vs Lefties and only play like 3 days a week. We already have witness somewhat of what rushing a player can result in (eg: Gordon Beckham). Heck even the Jays haven't called up Lawrie even with the horrendous production they have got from the 3B spot. Let Viciedo mature as a hitter first, cuz if we want him to reach up to the elite potential level that he is capable of then we gotta wait till he polishes and improve his skills. Because he is getting paid like a major leaguer, and is dominating at the highest level of minor leagues. He has nothing left to prove in AAA. His big problem has been not being able to take a walk. And PRESTO, he has more than doubled his walk rate. He never really had a K problem, but he lowered his K-rate anyway. The only reason I would accept for him getting more time in AAA is so he can better learn how to handle being an OF. This is the first year he has ever played the OF, so if they feel he needs to work on getting more comfortable, I am willing to accept that, although his bat will probably offset any defense faults he has now. -
http://www.fangraphs.com/pitchfx.aspx?play...&position=P His velos have stayed the same basically. His cutter has gained a few MPH, but everything else is pretty much the same. However, this year he is throwing his fastball 6% less than career avg, his cutter slightly less, his changeup 9% more than any other year, and his slider almost 5x as much. AJ must call a better game than he ex-battery mates.

Reed with 2 perfect innings, 3 K. Now has a 10:1 K:BB. Siiiiiick.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 31, 2011 -> 11:31 PM) Viciedo is wasting away. But I'd rather him stay at AAA. He's not going to play in Chicago. Ozzie would NEVER bench Pierre. Never. I think that may actually be Kenny's thoughts behind ignoring Viciedo's dominance. I really think he believes that Ozzie would never play Viciedo, and he is probably better just biding his time in AAA until he can find a way to force Viciedo in to the starting lineup, either by trade, or injury or something.

Sucks that Ohman ruined Humber's pretty line, but oh well. -
We have this guy already through his prime, and the start of his declining years. We already have the perfect contract on Humber right now.

QUOTE (forrestg @ May 31, 2011 -> 05:42 PM) I would hope not but we're not seeing a 17 million dollar product presently. So far Dunn has been worth -$2M. He has a long way to go to earn his $12M contract this year. -

QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ May 30, 2011 -> 07:38 PM) Amen on Kenny. reckless spending on Dunn and Rios. trading away Hudson and Gio. Getting nothing for Swisher or Javier Vazquez. farm system in alarming decline. time for a fresh voice in the management chair. Do it, Chairman. Do it. He got Tyler Flowers, Brent Lillibridge, and Jon Gilmore. That was not a bad trade at all. Swisher trade(s) though, ouch. -

QUOTE (danman31 @ May 31, 2011 -> 02:01 PM) I don't know the mechanics of throwing it, but it's a curveball that rotates the opposite way. If Santiago has a good one, it will allow a lefty like himself to get righties out very effectively. He's basically throwing a right-hander's breaking ball as a lefty. Would be cool if he added a regular curveball too. Haha, completely fool them by throwing those back to back. -

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 31, 2011 -> 09:19 AM) The not being biased part? You're probably right. No. That explains why he did not see Burrow's hair pulling incident against Keith., and those fights in general. -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 31, 2011 -> 11:59 AM) The '10 version won't. Don't they shut it down each year? Damnit, I totally missed that you have last year's game. I don't know then. Maybe you can go to operationsports.com and look there to see if they posted the file on the website from last year.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 31, 2011 -> 12:23 PM) I always thought that a screwball was left handed version of a curve ball but I guess the elbow is inverted. Yeah, doesn't a screwball move the opposite way? Like a backwards slider or curveball?
