It’s going to rain there soon, but the radar looks promising unless the system gets there and just stalls. I’m optimistic they play today/tonight.

From the forecasts I’ve seen, nothing would surprise me. It’s a more scattered system than a glob of crap. Maybe it doesn’t stop long enough to get it started/restarted. But maybe they miss the worst of it and can play some in a light rain. Banuelos might be needed.

The latest video from this morning has the heavier rain north of KC, but scattered rain throughout. Maybe once they start the game, they can play through some of it. They’ll try to play, that’s for sure. Happy Opening/Eloy Day!

Just guessing, but if they don’t play Thursday, the forecast for Friday is so bad, they probably won’t try. That would mean either a day/night doubleheader Saturday, or they just honor opening day tix on Saturday and change Saturday’s tix to June 8...and make that a day/night. Anyway, it wouldn’t be the worst thing for the Sox if they don’t play until Saturday. Rodon and Lopez can pitch in KC, then Nova and Giolito in Cleveland. Then the first home series vs Seattle would be Rodon, Lopez, Nova.

16-14, but by game 81, they’ll be 38-43.

15 games tomorrow, and one is in jeopardy...this one. (Might get some rain in Oakland too) The weather folks don’t seem to have a grasp on the timing of this and if it’s going to be non-stop. It definitely would have been better if they tried to start at noon or 1. We’ll see. Looks dry and in the 40s in Cleveland next week. Might turn out Rodon for the season and home openers.
