  1. Yes. He looked like that last year. We’ll see how that evolves. My knees hurt watching him.
  2. Good effort. Shitty defense.
  3. Agreed. What does he want? Another seam head talking about launch angle and spin rate?
  4. I guess I already did. Eloy rarely got hit in the minors. First game in the majors...
  5. One week until the affiliates play!
  6. I’m ready for one of those wacky Kaufman Stadium games...in a good way.
  7. I’m finding this to be a good pitcher’s duel on Opening Day. Hopefully the Sox come back.
  8. I could see him ambushing a first pitch fastball.
  9. It’s going to rain there soon, but the radar looks promising unless the system gets there and just stalls. I’m optimistic they play today/tonight.
  10. From the forecasts I’ve seen, nothing would surprise me. It’s a more scattered system than a glob of crap. Maybe it doesn’t stop long enough to get it started/restarted. But maybe they miss the worst of it and can play some in a light rain. Banuelos might be needed.
  11. CDT Eloy goes 3-4, two doubles
  12. The latest video from this morning has the heavier rain north of KC, but scattered rain throughout. Maybe once they start the game, they can play through some of it. They’ll try to play, that’s for sure. Happy Opening/Eloy Day!
  13. You can watch a local KC forecast here: https://fox4kc.com/weather/ This guy has the game starting in a delay, but hopeful they’ll get the game in. Saturday morning snow. Yeesh.
  14. Just guessing, but if they don’t play Thursday, the forecast for Friday is so bad, they probably won’t try. That would mean either a day/night doubleheader Saturday, or they just honor opening day tix on Saturday and change Saturday’s tix to June 8...and make that a day/night. Anyway, it wouldn’t be the worst thing for the Sox if they don’t play until Saturday. Rodon and Lopez can pitch in KC, then Nova and Giolito in Cleveland. Then the first home series vs Seattle would be Rodon, Lopez, Nova.
  15. 16-14, but by game 81, they’ll be 38-43.
  16. 15 games tomorrow, and one is in jeopardy...this one. (Might get some rain in Oakland too) The weather folks don’t seem to have a grasp on the timing of this and if it’s going to be non-stop. It definitely would have been better if they tried to start at noon or 1. We’ll see. Looks dry and in the 40s in Cleveland next week. Might turn out Rodon for the season and home openers.
  17. I find it curious they didn’t announce anything before flying to KC. Could be nothing though.
  18. Just watched an online forecast (fox4kc). He said the timing Thursday is “murky”. To me, it still looks bad, but you know they’ll try. Friday looks like garbage. Could snow in northern Missouri Saturday morning, but they’ll play Saturday and Sunday in the 40s. Sucks.
  19. Out for the year, Total knee blowout, Terrible. Stepped on home plate and slid like Harper at first base a couple years ago. They gotta do something about that, Completely preventable if the surfaces aren't slick.
