Getz talked about Madrigal and pretty much said he needs to play a full season and get 500 ABs. I don’t think he was including major league time with that.

Nah Anderson played a full year in Birmingham at 22, then was up in June the following year. I could see something like that. Definitely no MLB time this year.

I’m not a WAR guy, but if he plays 1200 games over the next 8 years, we’re all going to be happy with his numbers, WAR included. I’m already worried about his health...irrationally.

No question, it was a shitty offseason based on what they were trying to accomplish- Manny Machado. It sucks. It’s over, and the goal is still the same...figure out a way to sustained success 2021-2025. If they get to a point where it’s clear that window of winning won’t happen, that’s when everyone needs to go. Everyone.

Some good news as spring training comes to a close next week...the weather will be better this year. We’re not going to have a repeat of last year’s April nonsense. Long range forecast has east of the Rockies warmer than normal through the first few weeks of April.
