  1. He was picked 4th for a reason. Hit machine, great defense, can communicate with the press, I'll take it.
  2. Van Schouwen saying starters playing fewer inning than last night, Nova going 3 innings; roster set after game; Jay headed to injured list.
  3. Mendick double off Archie Bradley
  4. Palk smash
  5. Eloy rbi Single
  6. Nate Jones, rough spring training
  7. Souza injured left knee
  8. Looks like just tomorrow afternoon's game will be free on MLB.TV, and then rerun later on MLB Network.
  9. Watched a KC TV stations forecast. Thursday at game time- thunderstorms at 3. Very windy too. Maybe it becomes a night game.
  10. Yeah, it’s looking worse Thursday. Hopefully it isn’t a non-stop rain. If they can get opening day in with rain delays, they’ll do it. If it does get called, I don’t think they’ll do a doubleheader with a division team this early in the season. But what they do with tickets is anyone’s guess. Maybe Thursday’s tickets go to Saturday, and Saturday’s tickets go to June. (Yes, assuming Friday is a washout, too)
  11. Nobody get hurt
  12. One week does have the potential to make a difference only by luck of the draw. A 7 day difference this time of year at our latitude it’s flip a coin time. The main thing they should always do- as long as there are divisions, try to schedule division games that can be made up later on, and for non-division, then try to make those domes or warmer climates. I’m just happy we aren’t getting a repeat of 2018. That really cut into attendance and was a mess for a lot of teams.
  13. Not really. Games in Minneapolis, Philadelphia, New York, Washington on Thursday. And Pittsburgh and Cleveland next Monday.
  14. I wasn’t watching, but when I saw Nin pitching, I did wonder how long it took Benetti to make a Nine Inch Nails joke. Did he? anyone?
  15. Weather looks good Thursday throughout baseball. High 60s scattered storms in KC Probably lucked out both Chicago teams on the road, as Thursday-Saturday could be rainy. Right now April 4 says 49, but that’s too far away.
  16. Think about your expectations for Eloy this year in comparison to a Frank Thomas... Now go look at Frank Thomas’s first full season in 1991. Damn sometimes I forget how great that guy was 1990-1997, as far as just a pure hitter who happened to hit the ball out of the park because of the strength. Not going to put those expectations on Eloy, but he’s just different when you watch him, just like Frank was.
  17. Reminds me of Dye before he was with the Sox. Terrible.
  18. Isn’t that a 2020 rule?
  19. Ruiz optioned. He’ll be back.
  20. Misspelled name, but...
  21. Banuelos looks pretty good. At least he’s stretched out in case somebody stinks early.
