  1. The outfield depth is remarkable. Hope they keep the right ones, because they’re going to trade some of these guys down the line.
  2. Kopech and Cease in just over an hour. How about 13 innings and 4 or fewer runs combined?
  3. One more thing Hahn said about Hansen is that this same thing happened with him in high school, so Hansen wasn’t worried about it himself. http://www.espn.com/espnradio/chicago/podcast/archive?id=13678310
  4. Hahn on AM1000: Robert will start hitting in 7-10 days, be in Arizona to play, and hopefully at W-S by the end of the month. Hansen's forearm thing is "resolved". He's on a throwing program, and will throw his first bullpen in Arizona next week.
  5. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2018_04_30_gwiaaa_chraaa_1&t=g_box&sid=milb Danish 3 scoreless May and Tilson hits for Charlotte Pretty boring team when the birthday boy isn’t on the mound. (He is tomorrow.)
  6. The bold is the key. And nobody begrudges a guy getting more excited than usual when he hits a big homerun to tie a game in the 8th, or hit a walk off homer. That's emotion when it's genuine. Anderson- opening day, hits his 2nd homer in a blowout and does the same thing he did on Saturday...in the first inning between two teams that suck. Anderson- gets a hit against Verlander and starts screaming at first base and throwing his hands up, down 5-0. Seriously, if this his genuine emotion, then the Sox are going to be in a lot of fights this year. I don't dislike Anderson, but he's got no sense of the moment at all. And look, I'm on an island here. I don't see anyone agreeing with me, which makes me think that maybe anything goes at anytime because that's what the new crop of fans wants. Just be consistent--if you want Tim and the other Sox players to be like that, then be prepared to get it back from the opponent and don't say a word.
  7. Nice bounce back for Clarkin too. Maybe something mechanical in the 1st.
  8. Nice comeback! Tough rehab game for Boone Logan.
  9. Polo, Collins, Zavala, Rose singles
  10. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2018_04_30_blxaax_biraax_1&t=g_box&sid=milb Clarkin gave up a 7-spot in the first inning. No word on whether the hitter pimped his grand slam.
  11. I hope on every opposing homerun, the hitter gets to second base, looks at Anderson, and says F Yeah! You know, just havin’ fun.
  12. Should be a lively park in St. Louis Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon. Shields vs Wacha Giolito vs Martinez NL leads interleague this season 20-12.
  13. I can't be the only one who thinks Tim was over the line yesterday and last week against the Astros. It doesn't matter what I think though. If his teammates and manager aren't going to do anything, and this is the new norm in baseball, then it is what it is. Personally, I think the sense of the moment in the game has been obliterated and it's too bad. Others don't share this opinion, and you have that right too.
  14. ...and the Sox will continue to have bench clearing incidents.
  15. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?cid=&lid=&org=145&sc=&sid=milb&t=affiliate&ymd=20180429 House, Guererro, Flores, Parke starting
  16. Santiago starting Sunday. Covey back to AAA. Minaya stays.
  17. That’s up there with “you’re only apologizing because you got caught”. Tim, act like a professional.
  18. At a point though, it’s just a choice. 30 different teams would probably have 6-10 different opinions of who the 4th best talent is.
  19. Not sure, but maybe they keep him for the pen or they’re comfortable not caring that much if he gets claimed.
  20. I’ll guess Roach. He’s on pace to start Saturday and he’s throwing more strikes.
  21. Matt Rose at 3b. Is that new? Only 23.
