6/23 Games (Big pitching day)
QUOTE (BamaDoc @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 07:55 PM) I saw both and not impressive. He started the year in a funk, may be back in it. Not the way you want to end your college career. Hopefully he is an asset defensively. Skoug got a single pulling his hands in and going to rf. Handled a pop up too.

Saw Skoug AB in the CWS. Takes hacks like Rougned Odor. Needless to say, he's going to K a lot. Another K. Looked like s***.

Cheers To The Southside by Mark Buehrle
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 04:14 PM) On a sidenote...didn't he legitimately hate James Baldwin or am I confusing him with someone else? That's what I thought too. My recollection was that he hated all of that rookie hazing bs.

Cheers To The Southside by Mark Buehrle
I believe in the Baseball Gods, and some players were meant to play for the team they got drafted by or signed with. Mark Buehrle was meant to be a White Sox. Favorite Sox player ever and will never be surpassed.

Cotton vs Pelfrey I hear Buehrle is getting his number retired this weekend too.

2017 Draft tracker and signings
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 10:54 AM) Also LSU is still playing too, so the Kiel report can't really be correct. MLB office would not allow it, nor would NCAA. They may have, indirectly and under the table, agreed to parameters. I see. Haven't watched the CWS, so I don't even know who's left. Just saw this in the twitter machine.

Quintana
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 05:36 AM) Can we schedule the rotation so that Q misses Coors Field? That can do no good for his trade value Just a prediction, but I think this is how it lays out Quintana starts before 7/31: 6-27 vs Yankees 7-2 vs Rangers 7-8 at Rockies 7-18 vs Dodgers 7-24 at Cubs 7-29 vs Indians I think they'll stay away from 7-31 being his start date for obvious reasons, and 7-30 is Hall of Fame day, where I think MLB will tell teams not to take away from that. The Sox have a day game while the speeches are going on.

Quintana
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 11:01 PM) Yeah, let's just hope he is trending back towards creating that type of value again. Today was very big. 3 opponents before the break: Yankees, Rangers, Rockies Go get em, Q.

2017 AL Central Catch all thread
Tigers trail 5-3 in the 5th in Seattle. A loss puts them below the Sox. They go to San Diego next. Ausmus keeps hanging on.

6/22 at Twins
The road warrior portion of the schedule is ovah. 17-27 on the road 15-12 at home Those rates would work out to 76-86, but they'll probably lose 88-91 games.

2017 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 06:50 PM) I've heard and read in different places recently that "the ball is juiced" this year. Heard radio show hosts suggest it. Have read it on message boards and in the comments below articles. Are we falling for this again? Aren't people suspicious of PEDs again? I am. I don't know that I'll ever trust athletic accomplishments again. I think it's both. The Sox are averaging over 4.6 runs a game. That just doesn't happen by chance. And it's League wide.

Hawk- Bobby Valentine. Not Billy Martin. Martin was dead in 90, I think.
