  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 17, 2016 -> 08:09 PM) Not sure how Hahn thinks this lineup can compete They can't. But an argument can be made the coaching staff isn't getting the most out of them. I'm certainly not going to use an Austin Jackson injury as an excuse to lose.
  2. 7 strong from Bauer. Now they'll get one and shut the Sox down the last two. Typical Q.
  3. According to MLBTR, Sands hasn't accepted the outright assignment yet. Ball is in his court.
  4. I like Frazier still. The defense still plays. And he'll hit better eventually. If not, oh well. Bye after two years.
  5. I hope Ranaudo turns it around with the Sox. He's doing ok so far.
  6. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Jun 17, 2016 -> 02:22 PM) Can anyone do it or what? Supposed to be whoever started the game before if they won. Which is silly, but whatever.
  7. Today's lineup. Somebody needs to start a game thread. Anderson SS Eaton RF Abreu 1B Cabrera LF Frazier 3B Avila C Lawrie 2B Garcia DH Shuck CF
  8. Sands staying with the organization. Outrighted to Charlotte.
  9. 22 games until the break. 9-13, let him go and finish the season with Renteria. Anything better, don't bother.

  11. Once again, the second wildcard can give teams legitimate hope and a false sense of hope. It's possible you haven't looked at this yet this or even know who's leading the 2nd Wildcard. The Blue Jays lead, and are on pace for 87 wins. The Mariners, Tigers, and Royals are ahead of the White Sox. http://espn.go.com/mlb/standings/_/view/wi...rd/group/league This scenario may actually be saving Ventura's job right now. On the other hand, the Sox were once in a position where 64-64 after 23-11 would have won 87 games. That's a shame.
  12. Sox used 40 players last year, least in the AL. Ynoa, when he gets in a game, will be the 38th player this season.
  13. A lot of reading into stuff that doesn't need to be read into. His managerial career has been a disaster after not being qualified to get the job in the first place. On whether to replace him now, I actually don't care anymore. After winning an emotional game last night, they might as well give it to the break and see where they are. But as far as replacing Ventura, short of playing a 163rd game in October, they shouldn't re-sign him past this season...and they probably won't.
  14. Kahnle again, seems like a possibility. Or Ynoa, even though he sucks.
  15. Ugly, but they didn't give up! Tigers must feel like hell now, which is always good.
  16. This game is over in five minutes- please...
  17. Funny they're playing for a managers job, and that manager is in the tunnel, or wherever.
