  1. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 03:14 PM) Are you counting that error by Castellanos ? Not watching. I thought I read he had three perfect innings. If not, my bad.
  2. Buehrle is the Jack Morris of this era. Too much negative talk instead of appreciating what he was--reliable, valuable to a staff, and at times very, very good.
  3. Norris has retired the last 24 White Sox he's faced.
  4. Mariners trailing 2-0. Nice going Shuck and Leury. Hopefully Bassitt gives up some runs, but whatever.
  5. Royals are up 5-0, so as far as homefield advantage, this probably won't matter anyway.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 02:52 PM) My bad then. You were right but I still say if the defense makes the play right away it mighta been fine to do. Oh for sure. Goins is the goat. But again, when you poke the Baseball Gods, they'll poke back.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 02:48 PM) The way it worked out. Second guessing is easy. He should have had an easy inning. Two errors including the first batter. s*** happens. I was against it on Friday night.
  8. Unbelievable. He's done. Ryan Goins. Enemy #1.
  9. Look, I love the guy. But this was a nice thought that shouldn't have happened.
  10. Grand slam. 6-0. Don't mess with the baseball Gods.
  11. Umpire isn't helping him out either. Walks in a run. f***ing Goins messed up bad on routine grounder to start the inning if you missed it.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 02:30 PM) He also didn't seem like the type of guy who would pitch two innings on one days rest for an arbitrary record, but here he goes. I've heard a couple people say his teammates and Gibbons wanted it for him.
  13. Stupid Goins with the error. This is borderline not a cool move by the Blue Jays trying for homefield. I was hoping for it be a quick, painless two innings.
  14. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 02:13 PM) Mark doesn't seem like the type of guy that would want to do that though. I agree. On his own, he wouldn't ask for that. The Sox, on the other hand, are all about doing token gestures. They have to initiate him into the cult.
  15. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 02:07 PM) His number has to be retired at some point, right? He's one of the best pitchers to ever put a Sox uniform on. Of course. I'm sure they'll do something ceremonial to have him retire a White Sox. It's goofy, but some guys like to do that for closure.
  16. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 11:57 AM) After playing in 158 games in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014, Alexei Ramirez will finish the season with 154 games played. I'd still decline his option, but that's just me.
  17. Lineup https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan/status/650702032161087488 They're trying. Hopefully the Mariners will win a ballgame today.
  18. I'm done caring, but hope the Sox end up at 10 somehow. Here's the rest of the standings for draft order. They haven't updated the A's/Mariners game last night, but the order is the same. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/reversestandings I still think it would be a good idea to have some type of lottery system to make the outcomes of these late season games fairly meaningless.
  19. Norris vs Montas All games besides the Braves/Cardinals dh start at 2pm...other games that mean something... AL West/Second wildcard- Rangers clinch West with win or Astros lose. Angels at Rangers Astros at Diamondbacks AL best record- Royals need to win or Blue Jays lose Royals at Twins Blue Jays at Rays NL wildcard- if Cubs win and Pirate lose, the Cubs host Cubs at Brewers Reds at Pirates AL wildcard- Yankees clinch homefield with win or Rangers and Astros lose Yankees at Orioles
  20. I was more enthused about the 8th pick than getting a protected pick, so I'm kinda just laughing at how the Sox can mess this up too.
