  1. Albers, Beckham, Samardzija, and Soto filed for free agency. 40-man is at 34. Free agents can start signing with new teams on Saturday.
  2. QUOTE (shysocks @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 10:31 AM) http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/11/2/9...-speaking-oh-no Saw that live last night. I laughed. Frank suffers from verbal diarrhea. Overall, it was really hard to watch Fox coverage of the postseason. Joe Buck doesn't do it for me, but I'm kinda whatever on him. 3-man booths suck. Verducci seems like a douche. Harold Reynolds is terrible...so stupid. I read something about Harold that's true...he would be twice as good if he said half as much. And really...I stayed away from the pre and postgame as much as possible. Pete Rose and Arod? Fox sucks.
  3. https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/661063917032988673 I vote no, but it will be yes.
  4. Best team won this year. Can't say that a lot of times. Royals start next season at home with an interleague series...against the Mets.
  5. Pregame of the final game at Comiskey Park- Final White Sox Weekly on SportsChannel in 1990. Frank Thomas with a flat top getting his MiLB Player of the Year Award. Jeff Torborg was such a good communicator.
  6. The Royals are just the best team in baseball. They'll win two in NY. This series isn't coming back to KC.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 10:20 PM) That was either 1987 or 1991. I want to say 91, when the Twins came back to beat the Braves at home. Both of those series, they didn't lose a single home game. 91 vs Smoltz
  8. Andre Wheeler replaces JB Wendelken. https://twitter.com/MLBPipeline/status/659404509446283264
  9. When they had to cut to the International Feed when they had the power outage, did anyone else have a much better picture quality? They could have stuck with that all night, including Vasgersian and Smoltz.
  10. Awesome moment for Gordon. Great game by Chris Young. Some good defensive plays...a couple bad plays. Classic Game 1.
  11. First and foremost, I hope it's an entertaining and memorable World Series. Second, I'm an AL guy unless its the Yankees or Red Sox over and over. Go Royals.
  12. Sox go on a World Series team road trip next year: May 26-29 at Royals May 30-June 1 at Mets Then an off day and three in Detroit. Then a new manager on June 6th. HIYO!!!
  13. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 27, 2015 -> 10:49 AM) How many players have rings with 3 different teams? If Uribe plays and the Mets win, he'll be number 9 to play and win the Series for three different teams. The last three were Dave Stewart, Jack Morris, and Lonnie Smith. A couple 59 Dodgers were before that (Roger Craig, Clem Labine), and the others were in the 20's....Wally Schang and Bullet Joe Bush were teammates in 1913, 1918, and 1923.
  14. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 27, 2015 -> 11:24 AM) How is he eligible? Don't you have to be on the 40 man berode rosters expand? Also don't get it. You'd think someone like that would be a pinch runner, but Gore is one of the fastest players out there so it's not that. Guess Zobrist's injury is way way worse than thought? They just have to be with the organization on Aug 31.
  15. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 27, 2015 -> 10:59 AM) Raul Mondesi Jr replaces Terence Gore on the Royals roster. Mondesi has never played above Double A That just seems wrong to be a kosher move.
  16. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 27, 2015 -> 10:49 AM) How many players have rings with 3 different teams? Off hand, I know Lonnie Smith and Jack Morris have. You can look at this to get the complete list... http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/...ost_rings.shtml
  17. Juan Uribe is active for the World Series.
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 26, 2015 -> 04:16 PM) I'm on the Julio Vinas bandwagon. Certainly makes sense considering the contract status of everyone else on the coaching staff.
  19. Staying with the Indians. https://twitter.com/hoynsie/status/658732186133241856
  20. Royals in 6. I hope I'm right this time. f*** the NL.
  21. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 08:43 AM) So I was off by one game with Cubs/Cardinals. And two games with Mets/Cubs. So I just need Toronto to come back in that series, but so far, mine are actually pretty good. All the right teams. Pretty close. Jeff Nelson didn't help you.
  22. I won't be right, but my gut is telling me the Jays bring out the bats the next two nights, and move on.
  23. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 05:52 PM) No baseball tonight. I was having fun calling Colon a fat ass and yelling at the tv when cub fans would either boo or clap at anything. Guess i will hit the gym. If there was ever a better night to bust out a DVD of Game 1 of the 2005 World Series...
