I don't think there's any question.

Cubs landing him would suck. He's my favorite player in the league. But that move should put them at world series favorites. Cardinals really can't afford to lose him.

I wouldn't be surprised at an 8-10 year deal worth more than $20MM per.

I will be happy when he ultimately signs, because the (more) realistic Sox targets, Upton and Cespedes, will follow.

That was on my mind as well. A big name, big money who is NOT a top of the line elite franchise player.......and who is a career 260+ hitter who has good defense? That's insane. At least Crawford was batting 300 when he signed his contract and had base stealing upsides.

I think so too. The Cubs don't want Heyward at that price, but they can cost the Cards more money if they keep showing interest.

He makes more sense to the Cards then he does to the Cubs. I think the Cards or a mystery team get him.

Scary thing to me isn't the Cubs getting him, but more that they then would then trade Soler and more for a starting pitcher.

Offensively yes. Defensively they lose quite a bit.
