  1. Side note- anything on Crain lately?
  2. Buehrle/Sabathia tonight...seems like old times. If Buehrle has a bad outing, he may be taking his first DL trip. He's been dealing with arm stuff.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 6, 2015 -> 12:57 PM) From all reports, Robin is the type of guy who if he thought they would be better off without him, would walk away. He doesn't need the money. The question is, would he do that during a season? I just want the Sox to win games and get back to a decent shot of contending for 88 wins. But if that possibility/probability goes away in the next couple weeks or month, a change will need to be made. Otherwise, they're just fooling themselves that Ventura is the man for this job.
  4. By my count, the Sox haven't hit a homer in 91 hitting innings. Not letting that get to 100 would be nice. Hopefully they don't even get to the 100th inning tonight. Keep it at 99.
  5. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 6, 2015 -> 09:28 AM) I didn't realize it the first time I went the through the schedule but we will have played more games against NL opponents than non-ALC AL opponents on May 9th. That wont change until (presumably) May 27th. I hate the new schedules. Every team in baseball plays one home and away series in the division the first 5 weeks of the season. With 2 "other" series. Same thing for the last 5 weeks of the season. May 11 - August 30, for all intents and purposes, it's a balanced schedule.
  6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 6, 2015 -> 09:22 AM) So starting Rodon on Sunday put the White Sox in good shape still over the next week. 5/6 Sale vs Detroit 5/7 Quintana vs Detroit 5/8 Noesi vs Cincinnati 5/9 Danks vs Cincinnati 5/10 Rodon vs Cincinnati 5/11 Samardzija vs Milwaukee 5/12 Sale vs Milwaukee You could do this with Samardzija and Sale both serving their suspensions. Hopefully, Sale drops his appeal after tonight's start. You could even keep Rodon in the rotation and make Noesi the long man going forward. Yeah, that looks likely...but they really could insert Rodon in any of the Reds games. BTW, this weekend could be very rainy. Hopefully they can get the three games in.
  7. 30 days into the season, 916 players have appeared in a major league game. The average team has used 5.5 players above the 25 they started with on opening day.
  8. Javy Guerrra got crushed too. Nice line for Webb though
  9. If this game isn't a win now...so help me.
  10. Greene is going to be in Toledo before too long. Put this guy away.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2015 -> 07:54 PM) You knew it was bad when the great Jared Mitchell and Leury Garcia homered vs Danks Ha! I forgot about that...
  12. They can spin it any way they want, but they were not prepared for 162 when the season started.
  13. AL Central records since opening day, 2013: Det 200-150 KC 193-158 Cle 186-162 Min 150-200 Sox 144-202
  14. Samardzija can find a 5-6 year deal from somebody else. I don't care what he does the rest of the season.
  15. Bad start for Johnson.
  16. I think they're just hoping they run into a few 2 out of 3's the next few series. If it's the opposite, they're done, and they'll have to do stuff.
  17. Albers having surgery. 6-8 weeks. That fight really galvanized the team, huh...
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 5, 2015 -> 06:22 PM) The one common point in both clips...it has to get started or turned around pretty soon. Yeah, I noticed that. They know 22 games isn't enough, but if it turns into 12-19 or 11-20, things will happen.
  19. 2-rbi single for Sanchez Johnson 2 hitless, 1 bb, 1 k
