They won't cancel the game. They may postpone it though.

So are the next two games a competition for who starts next Friday in Oakland, or does Rodon go back to the pen after tomorrow's game?

5/8 Reds @ White Sox
Saturday looks decent to play, if for some reason they can't play tonight. Sunday doesn't look like an all day rain. They'll play all three this weekend.

5/7 Tigers at White Sox
QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 7, 2015 -> 04:29 PM) It was a big series win. I'm usually not a fan of the "winning series" thing in the regular season. Each day is an opportunity to win one game. But it's good they got a couple when they did. And now...the weekend of a thousand rain delays.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE (Tex @ May 7, 2015 -> 11:22 AM) .500 by June 1st If they come back from that 11-game road trip on June 4th at 26-26 or better, I'll be surprised and ecstatic. Would have to go 16-12 starting today. Doable, but they need to prove they can win on the road, and they need Sale and Samardzija to carry the starting staff.

Rodon will get first start on Saturday
Don't know if he'll be replacing Noesi after this weekend, but the Sox could definitely use a 6th starter May 22 vs Minnesota, and one of the Baltimore games on the 28th.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 6, 2015 -> 11:06 PM) Somehow, only four games out of first in the loss column. 3 games back in the 2nd wildcard. I mentioned in the MLB section, you have a bunch of teams with huge win totals the first 27 games, and the rest are mediocre or worse. That could mean a low wildcard number at the end of the season. Wouldn't surprise at all if 85 or 86 wins gets a team an extra game.

Seven MLB teams played the first 27 games at 17-10 or better. That's a lot. Hou 18-9 NY 17-10 Det 17-10 KC 17-10 StL 20-7 NYM 17-10 LA 17-10 The second wild card win totals may be very low -- 86-76 could get you an extra game.
