  1. QUOTE (LDF @ May 3, 2015 -> 06:22 PM) ok, i now see your point. yeah you are prob right. we the fans have that short fuse right now. It's not even so much that. I think the majority of fans, and pretty much everyone, know a change needs to happen if things don't turn around quickly. But in the end, they're going to have to fire a friend. That's tough stuff, and it'll probably take another 1-4 weeks unless they really turn it around.
  2. QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 3, 2015 -> 06:06 PM) really? being swept in 4 by the TWINS doesnt do it? that's bad, reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal' bad. I'd be fine if it happened tomorrow. But trying to see it from Hahn's POV (and Jerry/Kenny), I'd probably give it one more week at home.
  3. QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 3, 2015 -> 05:53 PM) The game has been over for an hour. Why is Robin not fired yet? One more bad week should end it. 2-4, fired 3-3, buys another week 4-2, ok, let's see how the rest of the month goes
  4. QUOTE (daggins @ May 3, 2015 -> 05:37 PM) I kind of hope Robin does get fired, for two reasons - 1. To shut up the fire Robin crowd 2. So that people will see that this team is bad regardless of who is steering. If they keep losing after he gets fired, it's not relevant. Ventura didn't have this team ready to go on April 6th. If they fire Robin, they know the season is over. Then the trades happen. Then the kids come up and lose. The majority of fans have this right--Robin needs to be replaced.
  5. QUOTE (Mike F. @ May 3, 2015 -> 05:13 PM) It seemed like everyone loved Cooper, but I was never particularly fond of him. I would give him the boot too, even though he's been here the longest. Coop is competent. I don't think anyone would argue that. But he's also too comfortable, cocky, arrogant, and overrated. Rich Dotson deserves a shot. He's already worked with Rodon.
  6. QUOTE (Mike F. @ May 3, 2015 -> 05:09 PM) Either one of them would be better than Robin IMO. At the time Ventura was hired, Parent was way more qualified than Robin. Now? Clean house, please. All of them.
  7. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 3, 2015 -> 04:55 PM) He better. It's not too late to right the ship. No, actually I think they've played themselves out of being mediocre. All they had to do is play .500 in the division the first five weeks, get their share of wins, stay in the race, and then make a couple moves in July to get over the hump. That's over.
  8. That's an all-time bad road trip for only 5 games played.
  9. Bonifacio - take your 4 mil and go back to where you're from.
  10. The things you see when you twitter search: White Sox https://twitter.com/Typac69/status/594977352808943617
  11. So what's the token move that will be made? Fire Steverson Remove Danks and or Noesi from the rotation Send Johnson down for Sanchez
  12. Picked a bad week to quit drinking.
  13. Why are you tweeting that? https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/594971943561863171
  14. So I wonder what part of the country LaRoche is taking the family after the game?
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 3, 2015 -> 03:15 PM) Yeah, you are right. The "guys being sick" excuse probably eliminates any of the anger toward the team/Robin from front office types. One thing is sure. They're not winning the division now, so they've already taken care of that drama the first week of May. Now it's wildcard or bust. It's amazing-after 4 weeks, it's safe to say the Indians and White Sox are done.
  16. He ran spring training like a country club. Next year- no kids, no pitchers in B Games, cut the roster to 35 with two weeks left.
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 3, 2015 -> 03:02 PM) At least it is short. Yes, and that's another advantage the Sox have that makes absolutely no difference. They really have the easiest travel schedule in baseball--or they did when the Astros were in the NL. It may be the Cubs now. They should have no excuses for being tired.
  18. Fun flight home, huh?
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ May 3, 2015 -> 02:56 PM) Question starts to become if there's any reason to think they can compete next year. If not, then see ya Sale. If it's over on June 1st (officially), everything should be on the table.
  20. If a message is sent tonight or tomorrow, it's probably going to be Micah. Probably not fair to send down a rookie, but that's usually the first step.
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 3, 2015 -> 02:40 PM) I don't think I have ever seen 3 HBP in the same inning. Anybody see that Dock Ellis documentary? http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/PI...197405010.shtml
  22. Chipping away, and losing in 15 innings would be a fitting way to end this road trip.

    Brad Penny, just retire man.
  24. QUOTE (reiks12 @ May 3, 2015 -> 11:11 AM) Come on Sox, win this game Laroche will have a big day today 2-3 with a hr and 3 rbis LaRoche does own Pelfrey in his career. 10-15.
  25. Looking like he could get the start next Sunday vs the Reds. I wouldn't mind if they sent him back to Charlotte to start, but he needs to start somewhere. At this point, it's looking like the Sox won't be contending. So if he gets the on-the-job training with his changeup, maybe 25-27 starts in the big leagues will help him for 2016.
