  1. Looks like Archie Bradley is wild tonight. Semien walked on 5 pitches. Saladino walked on 4 pitches.
  2. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20130727 Birmingham facing Archie Bradley tonight.
  3. 100 hours to go. I've given up guessing what's going to happen. I just hope they find acceptable deals for Peavy and Rios, and if they deal Dunn and Alexei---I'll be ecstatic.
  4. If they have any intentions of giving him big league time this season, which isn't likely, I'd probably send him to AAA for August, and then maybe Chicago in September if he's still killing it. At the very least, I think he's played his way into being a top 5 prospect for the Sox.
  5. Nice play for Semien last night at 3B. http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=29180265 There's a link to Hawkins double where he tried to stretch it to a triple. Bad play, but at least he was hustling.
  6. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 10:46 PM) Because Garza's value falls through the floor after the 31st. Peavy is signed through next year and still could command a haul this winter or next trade deadline. That's true, but I'd still like the Peavy decision (one way or the other), done before he takes the mound.
  7. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 10:44 PM) That's for his time in both organizations -- High A Boston, AA Boston and Birmingham? That's for Semien. Not Jacobs.
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 10:37 PM) No rush Didn't the Cubs ask for best and final offers for the Garza deal? I think the Sox should do the same. Get best and final offers by Monday, and get a deal done before the game Tuesday. Unless they just want to keep him for the long haul, they shouldn't have Peavy starting Tuesday night.
  9. I really hope Hahn puts a deadline on the Peavy stuff before the 30th. It would suck if he takes the mound for the Sox next Tuesday night.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 10:20 PM) Who is Rondon? Carlos Rodon
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 10:07 PM) I agree to disagree. With his injury history, he makes a ton of money. Isn't he guaranteed something like 15 mill next season? Or I'm I wrong about that? Including the rest of the year, next year, and the deferred 4 mil for his buyout, it's about 24 mil total.
  12. I'm holding out some hope that they can make a managerial change after the season, if for no other reason than he's not going be there in 2015 anyway. Just speed up the process on that front. Hahn should be able to hire his own guy.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 10:01 PM) How many managers in the majors wouldn't have been fired by now if their team performed like this? It's so White Sox.
  14. QUOTE (mike65 @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 09:56 PM) Check out MLB insiders on Twitter. It sounds like a deal is forthcoming. I almost dropped my jaw when I read all the recent tweets. My only caution is that not one national writer has picked this up. What say you guys? https://twitter.com/@mlbinsiderlive That Twitter looks bogus. Not a lot of followers. Never heard of it. Stick with MLB Trade Rumors, and guys with verified accounts.
  15. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 09:18 PM) They can have him. I have nothing against him. Wonder if Paul Sullivan is moving back to the Sox.
  16. Hmmmm... https://twitter.com/Jen_Royle/status/360945919182651392
  17. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 09:02 PM) Seems like his AVG should be higher with all the hits he has been getting. He was 50-204 in May and June, but he walked a lot in June. I can't imagine anyone in the Southern League is having a better July. He's raking.
  18. Hawkins doubled to RF his last AB.
