It was well done. Wish it went 90 minutes to include more stories. Of course, he probably wouldn't tell stories that would put the Sox in a bad light, but I'm sure he's got some good ones. I'd rather he not die in the booth though. He's almost 72. If he's still here when he's 75, it's going to get real sad...not just annoying like it is now.

The award was given to the sentimental choice. That's all. I'm glad Sale pitched well, and got the win. Most years, he gets the MVP. But since it's mostly about marketing and doing the "classy" thing, they gave it to the old guy. Hopefully Sale will earn another MVP some year, and they'll actually give it to him so he can enjoy it with his family.

Holmberg got trounced the other night, and my first thought was... I bet that was in front of a lot of scouts. Great first half, and he turns 22 on Friday. I'd love to have him back in the organization. I really hope Quintana or Santiago get traded, because it means they had to include one of them to get a premium offensive player back. If they can replace one of them with Holmberg in a different deal, I'd take it.

It would be so Jerry Reinsdorf if he gave Sale a car as a gesture of knowing he should have won.
