Sox/Tigers 7/23 game thread
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 09:10 PM) He's next in line (after Rios and Beckham) with regards to getting a makeover at the plate. His current mechanics just won't work consistently. He's a box of rocks.

Sox/Tigers 7/23 game thread
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 09:08 PM) I don't think Viciedo has been worth the wait. He sucks. No way he's on the Sox next time they're good.

Jesse Crain dealt to Tampa Bay
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 07:51 AM) Since this is from Rogers I'm not buying it, but in theory, Crain could have a couple rehab appearances, get traded while still on the DL, and then the Braves could still have him some more before coming back. It sounds like they'll be able to move Crain to the Braves at the very least. But if other teams want him (looking at Boston), let the bidding begin. Heck, maybe Peavy and Crain get bundled to Boston...or Arizona...or someplace else. We'll know in 199 hours.

Why so quiet so far?
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 22, 2013 -> 11:02 PM) Honestly if Hahn doesn't trade Peavy, Rios Crain and Lindstrom I'll be mad because I just want the rebuilding to happen and get young talking into the system. I agree 100%...especially about Peavy and Rios. Cut bait, get something fair, and move on without them.

Why so quiet so far?
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 22, 2013 -> 10:44 PM) I don't see how they don't trade Peavy. I think he's gone by the deadline, same with Lindstrom and probably Crain. I don't think Rios/Ramirez get dealt. I'm saying Rios goes too--Pittsburgh makes sense, and if Nelson Cruz gets busted, the Rangers will call. Alexei...no. His remaining contract is too big to take on. Sox would have to eat too much. I also think there will be one surprise deal that nobody sees coming.

ARod suspended for entire 2014 season
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 22, 2013 -> 09:46 PM) You guys are f***ing nuts...wth did you expect the guy to say? "We'll, I can get off on a technicality here but I'm not going to pursue it because I'm an honest guy. You caught me...I'm guilty." If you're Ryan Braun, of course not. Because he's a dirty, lying, piece of s***.

7-22 GT- Tigers vs Sox
I can't wait for the trades to start coming so there's something real to talk about with the Sox. Speculation and bad baseball is old.

7-22 GT- Tigers vs Sox
QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 22, 2013 -> 09:29 PM) While I am flabbergasted as to how Alexei made that error, Ramon Troncoso on his rump is a nice representation of our season He's this year's Ryan Bukvich.

ARod suspended for entire 2014 season
The Brewers should absolutely be able to void his contract, and have Braun go away forever. I'm so sick of these s***heads.

Pee collector should file suit immediately. And how about the teammates that showed up to his press conference? How are they feeling today?

Peavy to Boston, Avisail Garcia + 3 low lv specs to Sox
QUOTE (PolishPrince34 @ Jul 22, 2013 -> 04:42 PM) My gut tells me the Red Sox are going to make the major move to get Peavy and Crain. They are loaded with Solid prospects in the infield and starting pitching. I've always thought packaging Peavy and Crain would maximize a return, but Crain needs to return and pitch a couple times. It would be nice to see a bidding war from a few teams.
