  1. Hawkins--pop out to 1st, K, ground out to the pitcher #1 prospect...no. Not even close. Disclaimer: Every post about Hawkins doesn't mean I think he's a bust, or that he can never get better.
  2. Michalczewski might be a butcher at 3rd. 2 errors in the first inning.
  3. The fake Twitter accounts are out in full force already. I've seen Rios and Peavy traded a couple times already. Wednesday at 3 can't come soon enough.

  6. QUOTE (103 mph screwball @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 08:29 AM) Crain for a PTBNL. De Aza and Lindstrom will be traded. Peavy and Rios will not be traded because the other GM's will not meet Hahn's demands. Hahn will stand firm showing the league that he is not a push over and doesn't have to move salary. Soxtalk will be disappointed and cranky. If Peavy and Rios don't get moved, I'll be extremely cranky. I just don't want them to get to November, and they think they still have a pretty good team..."and if we keep this league average pitching staff together, and get some better seasons from X, Y, and Z...and play the defense we know we can...we can compete in 2014". Blow it up.
  7. QUOTE (beck72 @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 07:23 AM) I think the Sox will look a whole lot different come Aug. 1. Lindstrom, Peavy, Rios, Alexei, De Aza, Crain, and a wildcard or two (Reed, and maybe a name not mentioned). After all is said and done, the sox should have added prospects at 3b, SS, C, a power hitting OF near major league ready, a toolsy OFer, and Startingpitching. I'll go Peavy, Rios, and Lindstrom and that's it...maybe a minor leaguer or two included to spice up some deals. Crain needs to pitch before the Sox get anything for him. Alexei---money will kill any deal. De Aza---they'll ask for too much, and end up keeping him. I hope there are a lot of deals, but I'm just not getting my hopes up.
  8. Rienzo through 7. Doubleheader. It's a no-hitter. Great job. 4 bb, 11 k 112 pitches, 69 K---thank god it was only 7 innings.
  9. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 06:45 PM) Rienzo with a no no through 6. Could be a September call up Or a July 30th call up.

  11. Rongey and DJ are talking about Peavy maybe making a third start next Tuesday. Boy, I hope not. Get it done by Sunday.
  12. QUOTE (Big Daddy Kool @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 04:18 PM) From Ryan Baker's Twitter: https://twitter.com/RyanBakerSports/status/...506230873128960 @JakePeavy_44 looks like he was saying his goodbyes to his #Sox teammates after 7-4 win over #Tigers. Expect a trade announcement soon... That just may be, "If this is the last time...".
  13. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 03:41 PM) He's in the JR loyalty belt. Why haven't the fire Manto conversations came about yet? Once Walker got fired, I promised I wouldn't care about hitting coaches anymore. The Sox problems all start with the Chairman, and they trickle down. I'm not wishing for Reinsdorf to die, but it would be nice if he stepped aside.
  14. Stupid organization. Top to bottom. I hope Ventura lost some people today.
  15. Just for applause...now that's re-dick.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 03:22 PM) Isn't he still on the DL? Supposedly he's starting this weekend.
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 03:11 PM) And he pitched like s*** when it mattered in that one good season. End of last year, he had two bad starts vs. DET, and in the third one he couldn't even finish the sixth inning. Needed a big win against the Angels, and he got rocked. Kinda similar to his limited postseason career in San Diego. But god forbid you say something bad about Jake Peavy the competitor. I love having him on the Sox, but I can't stand his apology society that says he does nothing wrong. I've never been a Peavy guy, but jeez, the guy has worked hard through some stuff. If he gets pulled from the game, you stand and applaud the guy. Or don't.
  18. 92 pitches. Give him another couple batters, and pull him.
  19. 78 pitches. Hopefully he gets through the 6th, and then maybe he starts the 7th. Give a little love on the way out. Nothing wrong with that.
