  1. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 30, 2013 -> 02:12 PM) Are there really people that think this team is going to compete next year? They shouldn't. Every move they make for the next 21 months should be geared toward opening day, 2015.
  2. Sale is good enough that he should be airing out guys playing like crap. I don't want him to be as nice as Buehrle and Danks.
  3. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 30, 2013 -> 02:05 PM) De Aza go away... Stupid player at times, but he might be good insurance for a team looking for a 4th outfielder/ leadoff backup.
  4. ...and ballgame.
  5. Best weather day of the year, and this game will probably be 2:15.

    http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20130630 Anderson on a 9-game hit streak...16-41 (.390)
  7. Sale vs Masterson https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/3513627...7355777/photo/1 And on Sunday, Jason Kipnis rested.
  8. Obvious, but it has been said now... https://twitter.com/scotgregor/status/351378984119975939
  9. I think Crain could get traded in the next 10 days. I don't see the Sox waiting it out until the end of July.
  10. Anderson, 3-3, BB, .356 Micah Johnson, 2-2, 2 BB, .347 (can't be much longer, right?)
  11. Phegley- 2-3, SF, single, lead off double in the 9th in a 4-4 game.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 29, 2013 -> 08:21 PM) Funny thing is, Astros have a much better team than the White Sox. But I don't get the wasted energy caring about the boring June draft. BORING. Eh, it kinda depends on the year. Some years, there are a few premium players that having the 3rd pick is a good thing. I'm not sure about next year, but hey, why not have the best pick possible and get a potential future all-star.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 29, 2013 -> 08:16 PM) I really feel sorry for you guys who care about stuff like the Marlins' score. It's tongue-in-cheek backwards scoreboard watching. Everyone knows the Marlins and Astros will be drafting 1-2 next year. Sox will be somewhere between 3-7. I'd prefer 3rd.
  14. Anderson, 2-2, .341. Dig it.
  15. You know Stone wants a 1-2-3 inning and get the hell out of there. P.S. So do I
  16. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jun 29, 2013 -> 06:04 PM) Anyone else get the strange feeling Hawk has been told to advertise our players a bit on today's broadcast in case other GM's are watching? It's not AT ALL like Hawk to say the things he just did about Alexei. I've always thought he turns up the propaganda when it's a WGN game.
  17. Hawkins out with a hamstring. Not supposed to be serious though.
  18. Just for the hell of it, I looked at where Kipnis was drafted- 63rd pick, two after Trayce Thompson. (not that Sox should have drafted him in Beckham's rookie year)
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 29, 2013 -> 12:34 PM) This team will end up going on a run at some point, moving our draft pick to around 7-10 just to piss all of you off. This kind of thing often happens after the firesale. I've had that same thought, but this time, I'd be shocked if the Sox win 70 games. We still have 13-15 losses coming from the Tigers. And probably another 8 from the Indians.
  20. Simon Castro is getting called up. He was already on the 40-man.
  21. If the Sox are flat-out saying Chris Sale is untouchable and don't even ask about him, they're dumb. I'm not saying they have to find the best deal and take it, but if they don't even listen, it's the wrong move.
  22. Slept through it. 4th pick in the draft. Closing in on the 3rd.
