  1. Tekotte optioned to AAA. Move on Tuesday. Casper Wells?
  2. When the season started, if you would have said they'll go 4-2 at home to start and split with the Blue Jays and Rays in April, I would have thought they had a very good month. But Washington swept, and 2-3 vs Cle, and 0-2 vs Min. May looks brutal, but we'll see.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 04:10 PM) This has all the making of 2007 with so many AAA players on the roster. This team needs to get healthy and fast. I guess, but in my opinion it's an 84-win team that may turn into a 74-win team with a bunch of injuries, and being forced to make mid-season moves. It wasn't going to be a postseason team either way, but Hawk will use the injury narrative.
  4. At least Hawk has the built-in excuse for years to come that the 2013 White Sox were snakebitten from the start.
  5. Rondon is getting his feet wet now. He still may turn out to be the tigers closer--and who knows, he may be real good. Time will tell.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 03:59 PM) Wonder if the fact that Rios hasn't been given any extra offdays this year is catching up with him. That's a good point. After going 0-4 with 3 K's last night, I was thinking he would get today off if Wise could play. With a tough lefty like Price and runs at a premium, I can understand why he played today.
  7. Det 93-69 KC 88-74 Sox 78-84 Cle 76-86 Min 73-89 Something like that?
  8. QUOTE (Skipper @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 03:50 PM) Long ways to go in this one. Only down by 3. Care to amend that? I thought there were two outs already. Don't call it a comeback...
  9. This ump has been bad for both teams today.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 28, 2013 -> 01:27 PM) KC is not winning 97 games. Did I say they were?
  11. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 27, 2013 -> 02:24 PM) Just looking at the records, pretty easy to determine that the Central is going to be a weak division again. Well, let's see... KC 12-8, on pace for 97 wins Det 12-10, on pace for 88 wins, and that includes them already going out west for a 4-5 trip It's not easy to determine anything with this division. But I don't think the AL Central is any more strong or weak than the other two divisions at this point. We'll see where the records are at the end of May. Get about 1/3 of the season in the books to get a better grasp on the divisions.
  12. Ventura saying Floyd DL. Heath coming up. Santiago probably will start.
  13. Axelrod vs Price? No problem. 3 out of 4.
  14. Talking about Matt Harvey- good chance the Sox miss him. He'll probably start the Sunday before the Tuesday-Wednesday series.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2013 -> 09:31 PM) You mean like in the WBC? Yes.
  16. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 27, 2013 -> 09:29 PM) De Aza has left 6 men on base in last 2 innings not easy to do. EPIC FAIL He would make a heck of a 9-hole hitter on a good team.
  17. You know, I thought Flowers deserved a whole year, and he probably still will. But don't we kinda know where it's heading with him?
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2013 -> 09:05 PM) The Miami Marlins are so incredibly bad. They gotta get Loria out of the game.
  19. Brantley2-run triple, 3-2 KC lead, with 2 outs. Kipnis K. Royals win.
  20. Hawk was on Talkin Baseball this morning talking about how last year's Orioles and A's and the 2005 White Sox had the TWTW. So if you win, you have the TWTW, and if you lose, you don't have the TWTW. That's how that works.
  21. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Apr 27, 2013 -> 08:38 PM) An aside, but if Ervin Santana keeps this up for the Royals, they might actually be pretty decent this season. They have been fun to watch so far. If they stay healthy, they'll be in the wildcard race.
