  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 4, 2013 -> 07:11 PM) He hasn't been stellar there either. Wise is good in CF. Then it's just another hole on a sub-par team.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 4, 2013 -> 07:09 PM) Detroit 6-0 over Houston and threatening to go 5 1/2 games up. Fernandez (Marlins) bedazzling the Phillies as he and Harvey continue to impress. The Tigers are on their way to mid to high 90's wins. The Sox goal, and the rest of the division's goal should be 89 wins and ignore standings.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 4, 2013 -> 07:04 PM) If a player tells you he would be more comfortable in LF, most managers would do the same thing. After seeing that he sucks in left, it's the manager's job to keep him in CF. I mean, that's his position. If he's going to be an everyday player, he should have one position. This isn't 1B/DH. CF is too important not to keep it consistent.
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ May 4, 2013 -> 06:54 PM) Quit asking to play LF, dumbass Ventura's decision.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 4, 2013 -> 06:47 PM) Also helping KC is they get to play the Sox 18 times, although to be fair the Sox lead the season series, 2-1, entering this weekend's set. 19. No more season series ties.
  6. Freddy Garcia pitching very well in his Orioles debut. Might want to keep an eye on it. First hit-lead off hitter in the 7th
  7. Buddy bell was just on with Rongey saying Danks will probably make four rehab starts. Of course I take this as Bell has no idea.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2013 -> 01:22 PM) With the Mets being rained out today, the Sox will now have to face Matt Harvey next week. The breaks keep on coming! Sale vs Harvey should get some attention.

  10. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 12:23 PM) If I had to make an educated guess, it'll be a day/night doubleheader on Friday, August 9th. I don't know why the Sox haven't announced it, but the Twins did. 8/9 day game for the makeup.
  11. Coop speaks http://www.chicagotribune.com/videogallery...-Sox-s-rotation
  12. Officially, the rotation has been set: Axelrod, Quintana, Peavy in KC Sale and Santiago in NY
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 3, 2013 -> 03:02 PM) Well that solves Saturday's pitching problem Probably could go Axelrod, Quintana, Sale in KC; then Santiago and Peavy in NY, which I'm sure Santiago will be happy playing in front of his peeps. edit: Peavy says he's feeling better. Possibly starting Monday.
  14. Game will be made up on Monday at 1:10. Lost off day in New York. I'm sure the players love that.
  15. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 3, 2013 -> 12:50 PM) Really sucks for Floyd. Going into free agency and now having surgery. I guess he could pitch later next year, after all-star break. I wish him well. But I'm done thinking about him.
  16. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 3, 2013 -> 12:38 PM) Now it's all a moot point because Santiago will most likely be taking Floyd's spot in the rotation for the rest of the season. What if Danks comes back? 1. Sale 2. Peavy 3. Quintana 4. Danks 5. Axelrod 6. Santiago Who's out? Or the dreaded 6-man rotation?
  17. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ May 3, 2013 -> 12:29 PM) They've been talking about the health of the Sox for years now, though. Yes, but it was given more national attention this year. Also, it was a little joking around.
  18. This season started with all that talk about the Sox training staff and how the pitchers don't miss time. Jinxed.
  19. https://twitter.com/BNightengale/status/330366696688852993 Later Gavin.
  20. First month of games is in the books now. 27 games. 82 innings by the bullpen. That's a lot. Starters averaging 5.80 innings per start. That's got to come up.
