Is it true that Konerko didn't want to have that wrist bone chip taken care of over the last couple years because he wouldn't be able to play golf and hockey in the offseason?

The problem with Dunn and Konerko, is they're asking them to be 3-4 hitters, when they should be 5-6 hitters on a good team.
