  1. Is it my computer, or is the mlb.com scoreboard down?
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 04:08 PM) I wonder what the crowd is today. drunk
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 01:34 PM) That's a great point about the Hawk Show. It is entertaining most of the time, but Stone might feel like he's too good a baseball analyst to be a puppet. I still think the next team should be Hawk/Ozzie if Oz gets the boot. Oh god.
  4. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 01:01 PM) Anybody noticing lately that hawk hadn't been calling Steve stonepony anymore? I think that was a year ago. Stone said he didn't like it on the radio, so Hawk stopped.
  5. Mickelson and Bradley---Juggernaut.
  6. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 03:17 AM) Broadcast tonight was awful. There's clearly something going on in the booth. It seemed out of place for Bernstein to ask Stone about coming back, so maybe it was based on hearing something that happened the night before Hawk missed a game. I'm not a Stone fan, but I think he'd be more passable as an analyst if he was with a more conventional PBP guy. Hawk is doing the Hawk Show, and in his mind, you're lucky to have the opportunity to sit next to him for three hours every day.
  7. Yankees have a one game lead on the Orioles. Orioles magic number over the Angels is 3 to clinch a Wild card berth. WC2-- Oak - LAA 2 TB 3 The Rays have to win 5 in a row, including sweeping the Orioles, and hope the Orioles lose one against Boston.

Rays need to win out. There will be a couple motivated teams out there tomorrow afternoon.
  9. Both teams play at 3:05 tomorrow. We'll see.
  10. Quintana is starting Sunday for elimination day.
  11. I'd like the Sox (or 670) to purge the entire broadcast crew. Rongey, Hawk, Stone, Farmer, and Jackson. They all need to go. All suck in their own ways.

  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 02:19 PM) Division leaders road records: NY 42-36 Det 34-41 Tex 43-35 Was 47-31 Cin 44-31 SF 43-32 The best teams win everywhere Unless you're the Tigers. Rangers and Yankees were good enough on the road, but dominated in their parks. The NL is top-heavy. So many crappy teams.
  14. Division leaders home records: NY 48-30 Det 50-31 Tex 49-29 Was 48-30 Cin 50-31 SF 48-33 The best teams dominate at home. Sox are at 44-34.
  15. 6 games left: AL East-- NY 90-66 -- Bal 89-67 1.0 AL Wild Card-- Bal 89-67 + 1.0 Oak 88-68 -- LAA 86-70 2.0 TB 86-70 2.0 Schedules: Yankees-- at Tor, at Bos Orioles-- vs Bos, at TB A's-- vs Sea, vs Tex Angels-- at Tex, at Sea Rays-- at Chi, vs Bal Could be a cluster f*** at 90-72 or 91-71.
  16. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 10:59 PM) PK deserves a s***load of blame he has been playing like s*** for 2 months. I think he is a piss pour leader and captain. 4 months.

Dodgers is probably the better guess for next year. Not a bad year for Peavy... 31 starts 22 quality starts, which is very good 15-16 when he started 14-8 when he had a quality start. Should have been better. 1-8 when he didn't have a QS. No luck.

Good luck with the Braves next year.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:10 PM) I have never seen "they" (them) do that, and I see no reason to do so now. If anything, he wants to prove he has the strength to keep going. So I highly doubt they sit him. They may site Sale and Quintana though. Buehrle used to do that. 30 starts/10 wins/200 innings...he sat. If the Sox are out of it on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be a lot of Axelrod, Humber, Marinez, Heath, Septimo, Omogrosso. Maybe....maybe Peavy goes out for a few innings just for the start, but I doubt it.
  20. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:02 PM) Why? What reason do the Sox have to sit him? I see none. Sale or Quintana, sure, that is different. Because he's a veteran, over 200 innings, a free agent, and the season is over. That's just what they do.
  21. If the Tigers go 3-3, they will have played the final 81 games at 48-33. They're a good team, with bad defense. If the ball is hit right at them in the postseason, they have just as good of a chance to win the World Series as any other team.
  22. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 02:56 PM) He will get at least one more start. If the Sox get eliminated Sunday or Monday, I highly doubt Peavy starts Tuesday. Deunte Heath has a better chance to start that game.
  23. Peavy's last game with the Sox tonight? Could be.
