QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Nov 23, 2009 -> 02:33 PM) I'm sure Ozzie will call Omar a 'kid' just like everyone else who is months younger than him but still playing. Already happened, see post 155.

I have been waiting all day to see the response, oh well.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 9, 2009 -> 09:54 AM) Chris Getz isn't mentally ready to hit in the leadoff spot . . . unless of course Dewayne Wise goes 0-fer in his first 8 plate appearances. Getz should have less pressure in the lead off spot now, he can't do worse than the 0fer the last guy put up.

QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 08:58 PM) Send Phoenix to Carolina, move Carolina back to Hartford. Screw Winnipeg. Oh Yeah, well Winnipeg says Screw You knightni. -
QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 11:54 AM) We have a 3/4/5/6 in our lineup with immense power. Speed is extremely overrated. But speed never slumps!! Sorry, just had to throw that in there.

Rumors: Sox/Reds Talking Dye for Bailey Swap
supernuke replied to Dick Allen's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 08:37 AM) If Bailey can work out the kinks he could be our #1 starter in two years. He has that kind of stuff. If he was acquired now (without any other signing) I imagine we’d slot him fourth, with Floyd becoming the #2 option. So: Buehrle, Floyd, Danks, Bailey, CR/AP (I hope it’s AP) So you have already decided that the 5th starter will be CRAP. -
QUOTE (sircaffey @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 12:08 PM) If I were KW, I'd tell him we're going young up the middle with Alexei and Brent up the middle. You're welcome back but you'd be splitting time, and likely are not going to get much more than 300 AB. If they really don't want him back they should tell him he will be the back up catcher.

I love how Javy gets crapped on for not being a big game pitcher and he needs to be gone, but almost no one ever gets on Buehrle's case when he always seems to take a month or 2 off each season.

This is awesome. The wife's parents got us a trip to Phoenix this March and I believe the hotel they booked is in Glendale. This will make things alot easier not having to drive down to Tucson. When do spring training schedules come out and tickets go on sale?

QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 12:34 PM) Finally another member of the Bockwinkel Appreciation Society!!! My hat is off to you, sir - as nukes go, you truly are super! It always amazes me how little respect he gets. I guess he goes a little to far back for most of the fans that are around now, I only caught the last ten or so years of his career. He was one of the best heels ever, a master at getting heat. I still remember watching my Dad get so pissed off when ever tricky Nick cut a promo. It couldn't cost the WWE that much to put together a DVD of his matches and I would assume it would sell as many copies as the AWA DVD did. Since he was never a WWE Superstar though it will never happen.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 1, 2008 -> 01:45 PM) Found this listing online of the contents of the Mr. Perfect DVD set. Looks pretty good! The Rap Is Crap video is on it!! Curt Hennig, better known as Mr. Perfect, competed for the American Wrestling Association, World Wrestling Entertainment and World Championship Wrestling. Born the son of legendary Larry “The Axe” Hennig, it was perhaps inevitable that Curt would want to follow in his father’s footsteps. But Mr. Perfect lived up to his moniker becoming one of the best in-ring technicians of his generation. A former AWA World Heavyweight Champion, he was also the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of the 1990s. Loved by fans and friends alike, Mr. Perfect entertained in and out of the ring, earning him the honour of induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. This two-disc set relives his life and career, from his early start as a second-generation star through AWA, WWE, and WCW. Some of his greatest matches and vignettes are included. Who was this man? Here’s a hint… he was absolutely “perfect”. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 06:43 PM) And Pedro, right? Get back on the horse, hh. I can't guarantee any specific time. I just saw that some evening times were available. If Fridays and Saturdays are out the next best for me would be Sunday. I have activities with the kids most weekday evenings. If it has to be a weekday evening I will do my best to make it.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 04:17 PM) Name these WWE action figures A couple of tough ones in there. The artists must have fallen asleep between the He-Man and WWE models 100% for me. It was pretty easy since I had most of them back in the day.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Feb 12, 2008 -> 12:55 PM) Knowing that the KKK and other wack-job groups use that book to justify their extreme hatred, I don't think its very ignorant. I think that book is dangerous. And this coming from someone who went to catholic grade school, high school, and a jesuit university and got an A in an Islam class. I think my years of experience in life and school give me plenty of background to make such a statement. And I'm a big fan of Seventeen. Good stuff. Take away the Bible and the KKK would just find something else to justify their extreme hatred. They would just move on to Darwinism and say that Darwin proved that whites were more evolved than blacks or something equally ridiculous. Rock, Heavy Metal, Rap and many other types of music have all been blamed for some pretty bad things too, would we be better off without music as well? Soxtalk has probably caused some people to justify their extreme hatred for the cubs, cub fans and Jay Marrioti, Maybe it should be shut down.

I'll go in for league 2 again.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 09:21 PM) HD really brings out the creases in Shawn Michaels' face. And yet he is still so much better than everybody else.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 19, 2007 -> 09:11 AM) That article is trash, as is anybody who argues steroid use is ok because everybody did it. This goes back to the most basic point of common sense, would you jump off a bridge just because everybody else did? Until someone starts offering multi year multi million dollar contracts for jumping off bridges you can't even begin to compare the two situations.

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Nov 7, 2007 -> 07:47 PM) I can't believe the overreaction here. Really, are you new?
