Who did he face?
-
I think I'm going to be cheering for the, um, s*** I don't know. Right now I'm thinking the A's or Red Sox. I don't know yet, I have had the Sox penciled in for a while now.
-
I'm already looking at next years top 3 draft pick for the Bears. This just sucks how the Sox are playing now. f*** Jerry Manuel he has to go, no questions about it.
-
Yeah, you're 100% right. Wright won what, 12 games last year. Who knew he'd suck so much? Wright was going to start this year no matter what. Wasn't he better than Garland last year? What can ya do? Sadly, will he not be in our rotation next year? I have to think he will be one of the candidates.

There was actually a tread about next season going on yesterday. Everett can not be traded, he's a FA. The biggest thing next year is money. I see your point about our inflated stats yet not being able to win, it's just unlucky. Look at the Red Sox. They crush the ball, and are going to win the AL Wild Card. We just need timely hitting.

I don't know, I was there in 2002. When I go to a game, I want hotdogs and pizza. I could careless if there is fancy food. One thing I remember buying was a rootbeer float. It was pretty good. That's about as fancy as I'm looking for. One thing that I have noticed lately was the only people saying anything bad about USCF we're Cubs fans and people who think they are Sox fan, but have no idea about the team, the stadium, and it's players. You know it's going to come from Cubs fans, they just don't shut up. It's the people who say they're Sox fans, yet have no idea who Damaso Marte, Tony Graffanino, and Joe Crede are. I HATE those people.

No, he hasn't contacted anyone about being a bullpen coach. All the teams are contacting him. He has such a long list of teams to choose from. Not long before he's out of our hair.
-
I didn't mind being closed in. I never really understood how so many people feel closed in. I don't think it makes a huge deal, maybe that's just me.
-
Proposed does not mean for sure. I hope they do get it, but it may be too expensive for them. I was at the Metrodome last summer, I liked it. Obviously I have only been there once so it could be trashier than I realized, but that team is built for the dome. That looks like a beautiful stadium.

I could see them in 2005. Crisp, Escobar, Philips, Escobar, Gerut, Bard, Hafner, and all the other field players should be ready. That'd be two full seasons in the league. What about their pitching staff beyond C.C. and Lee? I know they got some kids, but I am not sure who.

MOTHERF*CKING B*TCHASS DIPSHIT PASSIONLESS SOX!!!!
SuperSteve replied to BridgeportHeather's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think it's for sure we will have a new manager if we do not get to the playoffs. I would not bring JM back unless he wins a series too. So he's f***ed. -
Jody Gerut, why the hell do I know that name? I don't know but I have come to like the guy. Seems to always play well. How about Coco Crisp, that name right there is great. He's another young quality player. They are still a year away though.
-
Is Iowa 'U of I?' I think they are but I'm not sure.
-
You're crazy. I would much rather have what happen to us this year than last. We atleast had a long while of hope. We had a good span where we were not down in the dumps. They have been playing important games late in the year. That's so much better than being eliminated by mid-August. There are going to be so many people who say they saw this coming. I thought we would make the playoffs, and I haven't given up all hope yet.
-
I have never like how they're American's team, same thing with how the Yankees are America's Baseball team. I can't stand either of them. Parcells is one goofy looking man too.
-
one problem there capn.. we dont have any youngsters who are ready to go in the minors .. kw gave em all up this year gettin those big guns that were gonna put us over the top........ unless we get some cheap vets were pretty much screwed next year as far as super talant... like cleveland is now get a good look at them .. thats gonna be us soon...a bunch of no names and no talant............... Yeah, but right now I think there more fun to watch than our team.
-
Ha ha, 'cowchicken' you say. Would that be like a cow with a chicken's head or what?
-
That sucks too right now, how 'bout them Cowboys.
-
Where's he at? How old is he?
-
Yeah, they get to come to East Lansing and kick our football team's asses in just over a week. That should be fun.
-
Yeah, we're screwed anyways. We have Duke, Kansas, Okla, 'Cuse, and UCLA before we even get to conference play. We'll see how State does this year.
-
Yeah, once and at U of I.
-
Yeah, ya have nothing on MSU.
-
Screw you, I'm stuck with the Bears.

I think we are looking to hard at the guys we have here now. Why not wait a little bit and look at guys who are available, via free agency or trade. Some of the guys are going to make way too much money to be back next season. I remember hearing the Marlins might be looking to move Juan Encarnacion; .273 avg, 17 hr, 88 rbi. They have Pierre in center, Conine in right, and Cabrera in left (as long as Lowell is at third). Encarnacion is making $3.45 this year, thats too much for a bench player. I think he would be able to play centerfield and has some numbers which are not bad. He could play any of the three out field positions for us. Only negative I see about him is he is a right handed bat, it could be worse though. A couple players I was wondering contracts and years left were: Brad Wilkerson (.268, 18, 75), David Ortiz (.284, 27, 94), and Trot Nixon (.309, 29, 85). Here's one for you guys, Mike Maroth (7-20, 5.55). Look at Redman in Florida. Redman was 8-15 last year, now he's pitching very well on a good team. Why not him as our number 4 starter? I would like to see both Robbie and Carl resigned. Jose I would like to see gone, I love him, but it's best for the team. Colon is gone, we should try to resign him, but let's not overpay. I am not sure about Sullivan yet. I am not very firmilar with him. I could live with Frank or Konerko gone, clears some money. I could live with Magglio being traded, that $14 million could come very handy. I don't think he's quite worth that $14 million. Right now our lineup really looks half empty: C - Miguel Olivo 1B - Paul Konerko 2B - ??? 3B - Joe Crede SS- ??? LF - Carlos Lee CF - ??? RF - Magglio Ordonez DH - Frank Thomas C - ??? MIF - Tony Graffanino (he'll be back, although may look for somewhere to start) 2B - Aaron Miles 2B/OF - Willie Harris OF - Aaron Rowand OF - Armando Rios (showed he won't go away) SP - Mark Buerhle SP - Esteban Loaiza SP - Jon Garland SP - Dan Wright (let's face it we're kinda stuck with the guy for now, like it or not) SP - Scott Schoeneweiss RP - Flash Gordon (he'll be back) RP - Damaso Marte (he BETTER be back) RP - Billy Koch RP - Kelly Wunsch (can pitch well if used right) RP - ??? RP - ???
