If anyone feels like reliving it
Why 1 in 5? I think they have a good shot at the playoffs. They have been playing well. Seems a bit harsh.

Thanks so much for putting that up. It brings back less than good memories. Hopefully no repeat of that.

AT LEAST 1 GM PICKED WHITE SOX
I don't think they will make it either. The only thing I would be worried about with the Cubs in the playoffs are Prior and Zambrano. They do not have an explosive offense, they have nothing better than average defense (some of their guys are awful at defense), and the bullpen isn't strong. I don't think they would win a series if they did get in. The Astros should make us not even worry about them in the playoffs.

Jimenez Rolling at Wrigley
Yeah I do remember. I was more impressed with him than Willie Harris. Oh, how wrong was I.

5th starter
Schow hadn't thrown more than 40 pitches in one outing all year, and he can't get out right handed hitters. It would be a disaster, plus it would shorten our pen. How many pitches did Wright throw yesterday? You're probably right, Manuel ought to just go to the 4 man rotation for christ's sake. CWSOX45 Do you really want to go to a four man rotation now? There can't be more than 2 or 3 starts left for the 5th starter and I'd let the likes of Cotts, Wright, and Schoeneweiss share the work.

5th starter
Eh, Wright did well out of the pen. It woudl be worth a shot. He couldn't possible do worse than Wright did in Boston. Could he?

MB or Garland?
I think Loaiza should probably go. I would have no problem to see Garland, but Loaiza has been the man all year and could really get us the momentum. I haven't been able to see many games lately, has Loaiza looked fresh or worn in his recent starts?

Jimenez Rolling at Wrigley
Ya see him trick Alex Gonzalez of the Cubs after Gonzalez stole second base? He acted like the ball went into center and Gonzalez started to go towards third. He tagged Gonzalez out. I know Jimenez has his problems, but I'm glad he got them Cubs.

Good point on the mariner broadcast
Oh I agree 100%. We don't have any reason for them to not let it fly. MB and JG are young guys and BC has always been a workhorse, as he's showing now. Let them pitch and help our bullpen out.

Good point on the mariner broadcast
I could see Pineiro throwing with no worry of a pitch count. But, I would worry about Meche throwing too many pitches. I think he missed like two seasons, and I wouldn't extend him too far. That's a different situation than the Sox too. We really don't have anyone who is coming off a major surgury and hasn't pitched this much is a few years. Gordon is only one with major surgury, I believe, and he's been back for 3 years now, so I'm not overly worried about him.

I can't recall him having either. Only thing I remember all year of his bat is his GS vs the Cubs.

Flash unavailable
I don't think Flash would want to play in Tampa. I understand the family being there, but he has one or two good years left, and he certainly looks like a gamer who loves winning. I hope he stays with us.
